A thread about RuneScape music. Exactly what I was looking for to leave my feedback. :)
Music, the composition of sounds. It's something which we can't forget easily. We reminiscence when we hear a piece which was played in the past. That's why I'll never forget the RuneScape music. It's because I've listened it over the years. I could say I've grown with it. I like how it's evolving along the game and myself.
The melodies which you could create even with MIDI, they are genius. Masterpieces of MIDI format. The real instruments recordings are just perfect.
The diversity of sound. Some tracks always make me smile. For example "Barking Mad". It's such a happy and melodic track. Action tracks (Charred Remains), ambient (The Muspah's Tomb), serious (Corpotate Callousness), there's something different for every occasion. I also like how every track fit's the area (Honkytonky is perfect example).
There are some of my favourite tracks:
Waiting for Battle (personal no. 1)
Firemakers' Theme
Don't Panic Zanik
Inspiration
Charred Remains
Corporate Callousness
Creature Cruelty
Down and Out
Dune
Inadequacy
Slug Poison
Traveller's Tale
(Yes I'm fan of piano :P )
Audio team. You have my love and support forever. Without you RuneScape wouldn't be the same. I hope to hear a lot more from you in the future. :D

Scape Summon and Scape Theme seem to be very enjoyable to listen to. It gives that nostalgic feeling and brings back memories.
But...
My favorite has to be Temple Desecrated.
While Guthix Sleeps was my favorite quest because of that track. (Plus The Sound of Guthix is another fav)

I can't say I enjoyed rs music too much before, but your newer tracks just keep getting better and better. I literally sit in the download center waiting for the new album to come out every time a new quest is released. I don't nessicary have a favorite song, but my favorite album of rs music is the song from the depths one. I love it for all of its cryptic music.

Ha, I was logging into the forums for the first time in months, just so I could compliment the music in recent times - so, glad to see a sticky thread already for it.
The music in this game is honestly incredible. There are several songs in my RS Playlist that I always turn on whenever I'm playing and need to contemplate things in my life. The newest addition is the song: "Blue Wizards," from the Rune Mysteries quest. It didn't hit me till about halfway through the quest, but then I just stopped and listened for a while. Amazingly beautiful work, Jagex. I actually took the time to record the song so that I could have it on my computer's playlist and its been on repeat all night, and in fact put me to sleep.
Which brings me to my next note - you need to put songs like that onto iTunes or create your own store so that we may legally have them. Songs llike "Wending Through The Willows," or "Citharede Requiem," or "Animal Apogee," are of a quality you find in triple A title games and deserve to be noticed.
Also, if the music itself is recorded in studio (as opposed to digital mixing, and even then), it would be awesome if you could do a behind-the-scenes video or a live performance feature :D
Fantastic work once more Jagex. Thanks for giving me a new tune to listen to all day today, on this cold rainy day!

Here we are again, Jagex. You, me, and new songs in my music list (as well as a reworked one).
First off, let me just say the rework of the song 'Vision' is absolutely fantastic. It's always been a good song in my opinion, but now that it got the "fresh lick of paint" in quality, it's better than ever.
The songs from the quests really brought the areas to life. Inner Focus and Forgotten Orders both made the desolate Old Wizard Tower area really seem like a mysterious place lost to the past. Slightly eerie ambience in the songs really made them shine. Unfortunately, my only one complaint is that Inner Focus has a bit of crackling in it that hurts its overall quality a bit.
Blue Wizards was a great song for that wizard motif, and the harmonics throughout the song truly sound befitting for a magical tower with just a bit of mystique that tends to follow the wizardly-types. Harmony of the Runes helped set that wizard atmosphere as well, and works well on that motif.
And lastly, my favorite of the new batch of songs has to be Bloody Foundations. Very dramatic piece, with a strong use of stringed instruments, that really fit the rather strong and chaotic ending to the Rune Memories quest. I was using this song during QBD fights after unlocking it, simply because I absolutely love the dramatic feel it adds (which can also make for a damn good battle theme!).
Once again, and always, GREAT work on these new songs. I wholeheartedly look forward to the audio in the Brink of Exctinction quest next month, and/or any in between then and now.
