Calling me active is a bit of a stretch. I play a little in game, go the forums and end up doing more tidying up then posting. I think Reddit and to a lesser extent discord killed traditional forums.

Which is a shame, because r/2007scape is even too cancerous and full of "poo"posting for my liking.

Reddit gets a lot of my time, I'll admit it, but that sub (and r/runescape) are horrible. I tend to spend a lot of my time on other game subs and news\politics. I think however Reddits got its share of major flaws. First, god help you if you go against the hive mind. I recently scored a top 25 post on all of reddit by basically endorsing the hivemind, go me. Wasn't even a good article, just abused the psychology of people. That doesn't usually work on RSOF. As bad as ID could get (and don't you dare suggest it wasn't bad at times here) the hivemind is limited in its ability to do anything here. Everyone gets a voice, wrong or right, popular or not, you can speak and the worst someone can do is say you are wrong. If you even think of saying RS3 is good on say r/2007scape, you will burn in whatever version of hell they created.

Imo the worst decision Reddit ever made was removing the ability to see both upvotes and downvotes. Previously if you had a minority opinion, you'd still see a lot of people upvoted your comment and that many people agreed with you. Now all you see is a large negative score which gives the impression of you being singled out as dumb/uninformed etc. I really see no reason why it shouldn't display both upvotes and downvotes.
