Because y'all have been saying "Jagex will re-release phats" for a decade now, imagine how tired we are...

As I mentioned before, they tried with bank bidders, and it failed drastically. So give it up already and move on.

We get it, you're lazy and don't want to work for anything, but then stick with a SOF rare or something whatever lazy poor people can afford these days, stop crying about phats when you can earn 50-100m/hr on RS3, won't take you longer than maxing to obtain a phat. The high price is just because of inflation. Jagex made gold worthless

Also, just checked your stats... I can confirm your views are biased, why am I even arguing with someone who started playing RS3 few months ago lol

And the story for all of those saying that players who can't afford a partyhat don't work hard enough:

A friend of mine has been playing since the very beginning (RSC) and has been trying to gather enough to afford at least a yellow or a green for quite few years. Mostly by PvM and occasional merch and subsequently keeping it stored in lower rares to protect the value against inflation. 2 years ago he managed to get as close as 93 / 94% of the price of mentioned lower phats. And then during the following period, partyhats trippled to quadrupled in price while leaving the rest of (lower) rares far behind. Not making any changes to his portfolio, he went from 94% down to sub-50% of the mentioned lower phats.

Question to be answered:
Have partyhats in active circulation lowered their supply relatively to lower rares roughly twice more or have there been deliberate manipulative activities to artificially rise price of partyhats by a very small group of owners?

Most of us suppose to know the answer, while Jagex has the exact numbers to know it. And now they have decided to step in.
Everything, ranging from sub-atomic particles to galaxy clusters, has its dynamics predefined. And then there are people claiming that systems like economy, society or other human sub-systems are in our hands.

A girl without freckles is like a night without stars.

You only see 2 words you don't like : re-releasing party hats , and You would like to kill someone for it.

We are going to stop all our nonsense against each other now.
I may or will be wrong as you said about the party hats, but your reactions are unacceptable.

Still, a side note:

You should go to therapy.
The stats of my account are indeed low, but so are far better than your sanity.

Print out your posts from these forums, and show them to your psychiatrist.
He will be amazed, how you talk about these issues.
Believe me, you are not doing well this way.
Your doctor will agree with me.

If you post again now, you are really going to fail.
I know people like you inside and out by the context of your post.

Are we both going to stop now?
A debate wouldn't hurt either one of us.
Peace accepted?

This reminds me of the time Jagex removed the trade limit in RS2. I had and traded hats before, during, and after the trade limit removal. During the trade limit it was impossible to buy hats on the GE. Prior to the trade limit removal all the forum merching "experts" were predicting phat crash once hats were freely tradable on the GE. In reality, the day they released the trade limit a red phat (for example) went from 220m to 2147m within 48 hours then settled around 1.2 billion within a couple days. If phats become tradeable on the GE again you will see wild fluctuations before they settle. I don't even play rs3 anymore, but it will be interesting to watch.

@ post above.

Yeh but you say this as if the graph will be accurate. Low trade volume items dont move on the graph for months! There isnt that many phats in the game, and i dont think theyre gonna be flipped around like gphats...

And i agree with Raph's last post, that weapons and armour (items of purpose) will them become inflated.
This is what the mods said in the stream, they want purposeful items such as FSOA to be accessible, not hard to obtain by a manipulated marked in w2. Well im sure they dont want these items being 10b+.

Instead of thinking jagex are gonna shaft phat owners with tackling their inflation with some kind of re-release or something. Maybe this scare tactic is what they actually wanted to achieve so that stacks of phats in some players accounts are now already landing in hands of less wealthy player (distributing the wealth).

I hope Jagex read these forums because they need to take everyone opinions into consideration, even biased phat owners opinions, because at the end of the day i bet they're the most loyal of all RS players...

@Jagex: Don't shaft phat owners too hard, because you will lose player base....

Hi SirJosh,

You're right.

Low Volume and G.E price updates are indeed a point that need to come under control.
Long Flat lines are boring :P

Our patience will be rewarded :)

Like I said already in the Friendchat.
Again : Enjoy your nice Yellow partyhat, you deserve it!
I'm happy that you've reached it.

Have a nice day.

Active supply should go up no?

Like before update the active supply was the traders in w2 and the people having a thread on the forum. This supply was very low and only came from few people. Often supply was non existent, like you want buy blue partyhat and noone was selling and you would spend days buying it.

But now everyone can put their hats in ge,you dont need be online anymore and spend all day in w2. So maybe there will be 10 or even 100 of each hat in ge , if only at very high price in the hope to make a lucky sell.

Demand wont rise as much i think. Once people had enough to buy a partyhat they went on to buy it and that wont change. Maybe merchants will put in more offers but those will be low offers.
And they can only make one offer if they buy a hat. Like before update if someone had say 100b they could advertise buy yellow, purple green or red partyhat. They could sort of make an offer on 4 different hats.
But 100b in ge,they can only make offer on 1 hat (now 2 as prices have dropped a bit).

I think rares will drop untill the update is live and once update is live they will go up again.
Merchants they know this supply is coming,so from their perspective the play sort of is in tricking this supply into selling to low.

yikes!

I like the removal of max cash limit but Jagex better not screw with partyhat prices as they hinted. If they destroy the OG rares market I will quit. You HAVE to have expensive end game items and goals to work for. If you dont, then all you have is to buy BIS gear and then what will you do with you extra BILLIONS in cash? BIS gear is too easy and quick to buy.

agree! support man i'll prolly quit too man end of story for me.. grinding for gear is just endless.. i want some nice rares to solidify the grind.
