Your methods for valuing phats as a multiple of santas doesnt work when prices rise this much. Look at masks, they have gone up substantially but the variance to "buy up" between them hasn't changed much since they were under 700m. Based on your method (using 3.2b for santa) yellow would be 22.4b and blue is 64b, which is a huge gap, it's doubtful you'd see that big a gap in the market, if anything the prices will condense more at the climb with people willing to buy any phat available.[/quote]
Yes blue has come down a lot over the years, relatively. it used to be 3 times purple indeed,or white+purple or 2x red. But it has been consistently lower then that for several years now and probably with a good reason.
Santa hats have not had current ratios for several years consistently, which for me is reason to value yellow at 7 santas still even though the current prices don,t fully reflect that.
Placing yellow at a minimum value of 7xsanta is still reasonable imo. That doesnt mean the actual prices will always reflect that ratio though. But its the ratio i use for myself to determine a fair price for a partyhat. Its very difficult to get an idea of a good price based on trades, since there is not many trades beeing done in the first place and even less of them are beeing reported. You have to go by something and this is my personal guideline, but i can understand other people have different ideas of how much yellow should be worth and what they are willing to sell for.
It could be that santas have become more valuable in relation to partyhats, maybe many santas got banned on certain accounts or a player with a lot of santas has quit forever taking them of the market. But for now i dont see a reason why yellow should be worth less then 7 santas.
But again thats just my personal opion. I dont play much so i dont claim that my opinion is the right one,but its the one i am sticking with.
