You are better off buying one. Atleast that has some certainty to it.

Don't recommend buying papers, it's really addictive and exciting to open boxes even though I don't win anything of value..yea just buy one.

I agree. Nobody was there telling Jagex to make Partyhats, RSH and halloweens non existent rares. I think GSH should be accessible to new players or older players who want to grind for it similar to the GPH.

I think this event is another example of how Jagex is straying from it's roots which shows the issues that question the longevity of the game.

I agree. Nobody was there telling Jagex to make Partyhats, RSH and halloweens non existent rares. I think GSH should be accessible to new players or older players who want to grind for it similar to the GPH.

I think this event is another example of how Jagex is straying from it's roots which shows the issues that question the longevity of the game.


You already got accessible tokens no one cares about from the event don't be too greedy. :) .

So I have gotten 2 green hats in my how hard are they to get vs the RNG experiment. LOL I bought keys until they would not let me buy keys anymore. Every 450 keys = 18000 paper = 90 chances. Thus far I have had 1080 chances from key paper and 2 hats = 1 in 540 chance to get one........ or 108,000 paper. On another character that the RNG obviously favored more..... he got the hat through keyless game play with the first 5000 paper turned in.

No I did not buy all the keys for the paper and hats....... LOL I was actually paying to win a nooblet up to 80ish in all skills......... the 18000 paper per 450 keys was just a bonus. Don't foresee many people getting hats through normal game play with the sheer amount of paper needed to be collected to beat the averages. Of course the RNG will love some now and then. Make of it what you will, just putting my experience with this one out there.

I find it quite hillarious that everyone thinks they are entitled to a Gsh.

Throwing a tantrum on the forums because they didn't get their way, when the option has always been there to simple not participate.

They're experimenting. It's a 'rare' in a literal sense, just like Hazelmere's Ring, except it's only available during certain periods. They are being vague as to not manipulate the price. Bob says:

Seems most people now days seem to think that because they pay a sub they are entitled to have everything they want in the game. Truth is the sub only buys you a chance at having things in the game NOT a guarantee.

Hey if a person can afford to spend a few thousand $$$ on keys to increase their odds in the game....... More power to them. Which leads to another pet peeve of mine"OMG JAGEX PROMOTES MICRO TRANSACTIONS!!!!" Well no shit they are a company out to make money NOT a NFP even though they attempt to look like socialist they are all about the capitalism ;) And that is a good thing because its those $$$ keep the game going. Because we all know what happens to companies and products that don't bring in the $$$

I think you'll find Black Santa Hat is more like 20 odd billiion

Jagex are quoted in saying they're not looking to discontinue this, there is no need for it to be THAT rare. Disappointed personally
