Bringing phats back would anger too many. Some teensy release might even be fine, like 10 phats, but I’ve never seen Jagex do anything small.

The whole game revolves around working hard for long hours just to finally get a phat, for many players. After 5.6b xp and trimmed comp, there’s nothing but phats to pursue.

They could make phats untradeable if too expensive. I cannot for the life of me manage to catch Covid. Perhaps it's because I didn't get vaxxed? The travails of those lacking immunity.

Anyway, I’m having fun with the new rares. I don’t really mind that Destruction has her cracker wings, and I don’t Because I have rubber chicken, which comes with a dance emote. (People wrongly assume it’s lame like rubber Turkey.)

But more seriously, many older players would quit over phats. They might rarely log in but would have kids, bond money, etc.

So back on topic, the argument is that Jagex will release/rerelease as they see fit and most players won't leave. As a matter of fact, they could attract and retain even more players by doing so

But that is not the game, isn't Trip? RuneScape is not a game for you to come and hoard on rares. If that was the case, only a few selected players were able to play the game unless Jagex keeps rereleasing some of the rares for the newer player base.

"Pepe, but rares are supposed to be exclusives. Not everybody can have them!" Well, that sounds selfish.

Rereleases don't attract new players. Do green santas with their rarity affordable to a new player? Green santas were designed for older players as confirmed they will not be buffing droprate. DO you need rereleased rares to play the game? .

I disagree. They attract new players. And no, it was not designed for older players either. And I don't need rereleases (obviously! I am still playing lol, unlike some that will supposedly quit if they rerelease because they will be butthurt) but I do feel they should rerelease them, and release new ones. And my point (which none of your questions mentioned) was that they will release/rerelease as they see fit because they are a for profit business, and make decisions based of what benefits them the most.

But I feel that now we are just going in circles
