Yea sorry I read the wiki wrong. Still we can probably assume it's a similar amount of black Santa and green Santa's. We are not talk red Santa hat numbers here. But again, Santa hats are iconic. No need for people to be crying over the price. If they don't agree with the price don't buy it. People feel the current price is fair so they end up buying them because they want to. Not sure what else there is besides someone saying it does not deserve that price.

I personally wish it was more 'fair' to obtain than just luck and paying money for more luck. I only play Ironman, so would like more concrete ways to obtain by hard work rather than supporting gambling addictions. Don't care about making money off of it, the price could drop to 1 gp for all I care, just would like to have an actual opportunity to get it for the Ironman.

All other 'rares' gave everyone a fair chance to receive it if they played during the event window. This may be with exception of the Black Santa, which I was not around for so cannot speak to. There should at least be a chance rate increase per box opened.

I partially agree with you, but it is what it is.

I really dont think Jagex will or should change it at this moment as there are pleny of players who bought one or got one from a present, then that wouldn't be fair to them. Would it?

the problem now is if you cry and stomp your feet enough you will eventually get your way. "Wah i spent 4b on keys and i should have like 100 green santas, wahh"

Keep it rare. if you want it buy it, if you are lucky enough to get one from a present then that is awesome.

Idk when Jagex will learn. This is a game people play for fun. This is not a brokerage firm where you know what happens... money, money, money...etc...money. It is Christmas people love RS so they are playing the game gathering paper hoping for a GSH. Just sell the hat for paper instead of hiding it behind layers and layers of rng. Sorry to say but this is quite unseemly Christmas behavior.

Jagex is a company and everything they have done for the last 20 years has been done with profit in interest.

You don't have to participate.

"This is a game people play for fun" Then continue to do just that and stop wasting your time and energy on content you dont enjoy.

It's had the opposite effect on me, I was grinding wrappers for a little bit but the nagging feeling that it was a total waste of time due to the rng rarity turned me off and now I'm playing other stuff

That, and the sketchy dodging of probabilities clarity jagex has pulled with this one degree of separation move.... TH keys give you wrappers for something you don't know the probability of getting and people are blowing hundreds/thousands on keys because of it
