All I can say is I'm done if it happens... This is what happens when you progressively make gaining experience easier. The past 5-6 years has seen the experience rates in every skill become 5-10x faster then they originally were. Someone should ask someone with 200m experience in a skill if they like the idea of that skill offering 1-2m experience per hour. Because if half the skills in the game offer 300-500k experience p/h right now, you better bet at level 120 you can get 2-3x that much.

Sure thing. I'll explain it in a bit more detail too..

As stated, any given player gets three total: A combat, an artisan, and a gather/support skill, and they can change their skillset once per 28 days if they get bored with it, much like a display name (without a bond).

You could be 200m xp across the board, and I could have my three skills of choice at 175m and 13m everywhere else, and unless you picked the exact three skills I have, there'd be things I could do better than you, and things you could do better than me.

Say I pick Defense, Runecrafting and Farming...
and you went with Magic, Smithing and Agility.

You will likely need my runecraft proficiency to obtain unique runes and perhaps cloth, and you may seek out a different guy (crafting) to make that cloth into robes. You can in turn use your smithing to make me that armor I need to make the most of my defense, while that agility lets you go to places not many of us dare venture for a wide variety of resources.. maybe some of those seeds I need to make herbs that require a different guy (herblore).

We all become cogs in a machine, and we work far more effectively now if we work together. Lone wolfing won't be the way to get the best out of day to day activity even if you're "maxed". Even 125 firemaking could be really useful, even moreso because most others felt their time was better suited to building something. Your high levels can even make better use of low level activity.

Like, if you're level 125 mining (171M xp) right now, you're one of 94 people on the planet who can get high end smiths what they need, or low level smiths the best quality ore, and that assumes they all go mining. If all skills are equal, then you're 1 of the 12. One of Twelve makes you a bit more important than the 54k people who have 99 mining right now, plus incoming competition is

Capes:

Leave 99 capes and max cape as they are. You get your capes at 99 and at 120. Your 120 cape will be trimmed when you have 2+ 120s. I personally think at a minimum having all 120s should be a trim req, but I digress.

Content:

It has taken almost 15 years and there are still some gaps in the level 1-99 system. But yet people still play this game even without new higher content. I think it would be much better to release the skill levels now and let people train them, if they feel like it. And leave the content for the future.

Xp:

Xp rates and bonus xp are insane nowadays. Elf city alone is a perfect area for training post-99 skills to 120.

I really hope and pray that this happens sooner than latter. I personally have been waiting for this to happen ever since dung came out.

I created a thread, you can look me up to check it out, (Levels 100-120 Perhaps?) Its a very old thread and much of the content I thought up years ago is outdate now. I would love to work with a few likeminded players to think up a logical, rewarding, and goal-oriented content.

Prestige was such a horrible idea for post maxed content. This is the solution the community will embrace.

Lastly, it took me 10 years on this account to get max cape for the first time. Im in no rush, I waste xp all the time, and I currently play less than one hour per day. This is still the most important piece of future content to me!

With Mod Mark withdrawing his support for Inventor at Runefest 2014 (even though he hyped it so much at Runefest 2013) I doubt we will get a new skill in 2015 if ever.

So my question is what is in store for RS in the futrue? Do Mod Pipps and Mark want the majority of players to become maxed or they planing on new skills or increasing the current skills in 2015 and 2016?

No,no and no.
A lot of players wish to have 2574 total lvl(excluding 120 dg) and have that much lovely desired max cape.They work hard to achieve 99 in each skill,13m xp is a lot also,takes lots of time to gain.
So,what do u offer now..U want max total lvl of 3120(26x120) to be in rs?What the...
Im not even surprised if u want max cape (99 in all skills) improve/increase to 120..
I cant imagine myself gettin 120 agi and such boring,slow-training skills..

While I don't support raising the skill caps to 120 outside of very special circumstances, the xp waste mentality is toxic enough, I don't think raising the caps would affect the normal max cape. That would still likely keep its 99 in every skill requirement.

They would likely just make a "true mastery" max cape which would have the 120 in every skill requirement.

EDIT: Comp capers would be out of luck though.

Like I said, I would prefer the skills remain at 99 unless it is a special case like Dungeoneering. No need to propagate more elitist xp waste mentalities than there already are.
