i didnt say anything about changing the skill itself...

but anyway

you find training a skill boring etc etc. yet want other training methods that will pretty much be as you put it "sit and click every so often" which is same as hall of memories except 2 ticking which for most is mind numbling tedious too.

so my original post still stands as is

Methods like Deep Sea Fishing, the Hall of Memories, etc aren't perfect but they're certainly a step in the right direction. Having more variety in how we train our skills is a good step.

I don't think more bosses is the answer, more content like the smithing update that takes ridiculous amounts of supplies to make. I do think every skill should go to 120 but I hope we get there isin't just *crazy ridiculous boss that only small % ever fight will drop best item in the game* it's gotten very old. \\ \\ \\_________|`›¸ ............Sir.RôbiñHôôd ......... ¸‹´|_______// // //

Weird to think there are still 22 skills that aren't level 120.

Raising the 5 primary combat skills would have to be done all at once for the sake of "balance".

Constitution could be raised on its own ... not sure they'd really add much in the way of content for this without something in cooking as well. (more HP means you can have higher healing foods)

Prayer and Summoning can be raised separately from the other combat skills, but would need content to actually fill up to 120.
Odd that accounts for 8/22.

Wouldn't Thieving still be the easiest to mechanically raise to 120. And wouldn't need a companion skill raised up. Chunk of it would be picpocketing, some new stalls, and a few more safes to crack.

Agility can be raised on its own as well. But it suffers from being near useless.

Fletching, Firemaking, and Woodcutting are a trio that would need something similar to the M/S rework ... in concept ... and not as intensive. More of a "retier" with new content added rather than also changing half the skilling mechanics with it. Crafting and M/S would have to be raised to 120 as well. Hence part of the reason why they probably don't do it.

Runecrafting. Theory of making new runes sounds interesting. reailty is that you'd have to raise magic to 120 AND come up with some new ideas. True, they could just do something for RC that isn't more magic as a training method ....

Hunter ... I mean ... take a page from Slayer ... new creatures ... maybe new methods.

Fishing and Cooking probably get raised in tandem. Fishing normally feeds Cooking so ....

Construction .... probably tied to a PoH update as well. God I hope they come up with something more original than more furniture making.

Divination. another like hunter that could be raised on its own. Limitation is the fact that a lot of other skills aren't 120 so makes the transmutation and divine locations a bit limited.

Nope. I think doing it a couple skills at a time is fine with me. I would rather see new skills vs making old stale skills 120. Besides a lot of people already got virtual 120s in several skills already. I thought it was kind of stupid making 120 Slayer, since so many already had 200 mil Slayer Experience. They should of done this way before so many already had 200mil experience in all skills.

For a Klingon, I'm disappointed.

Jokes aside.

From a literal standpoint, everyone isn't 120 or virtually 120. Or 200m XP. I know it may feel like that at times.
Admittedly, my main is 120'd in everything .... so lack of direction and lack of interest in playing at this stage since I have no intent on chasing down comp/trimmed comp ...

given that nearly half the skills have absurd XP rates compared to raining methods 5, 10, and especially 15+ years ago (even if you exclude MTX), it's part of why we ran into the conundrum of devs needing to raise the skill levels to feel the need to add content and keep players playing.

From recent live streams with Mod Jack, I'm getting the feeling that the devs are moving away from that mindset as well. (Won't stop them from doing a 120 on a new skill though ... )
