Most games get released for ios first if not for both at same time. See assassin's creed or afterpulse it took a year for many great games to come on the playstore after ios realease. There are many others. Get an android phone, at least jagex doesn't get paid by apple like other game brands to cause these delays.

Any updates on when iOS beta is going to be ready? A little news or transparency would be appreciated. It's been several months since Android beta but all silent for iOS.

I'm not sure what difficulties the team is facing that would prevent a beta for iOS. But wasn't there a two week beta last year? Surely the engine has been improved since then? At the very least it should be playable.

Perhaps the mods could shed a little light on this eagerly anticipated addition to RS?

"Future Release Plans

On to the hot topic of betas! We will be aiming to
uncap the Android Members beta
in the near future so, if you’re a member and have an Android device, you’ll soon be able to play on mobile and not have to worry about getting in before the influx of other interested players.

As for iOS; we are still developing the iOS version but are not in a position to release a beta at this point. We need to work on a few stability issues and then focus on the best way to get it into your hands.
However, the way betas are organised on iOS means that we wont be able to run the same kind of beta we did on Android
. We know that there are many players eager/frustrated to get their hands on the iOS version, and we’re just as eager to give it to you! Once stability of the iOS version is up to scratch and we’ve come up with the best way to get it to you, expect to hear more."


Obviously, Android players should be very happy to see the beta cap being removed very soon. For iOS players, they will continue to run closed beta and there will be a considerable shorter beta for members before RS3 Mobile is released.

I think so... but this may actually be the problem that iOS beta is not open to members again because there is a only small cap of testers allowed by Apple (10k? I think) which more than likely was already taken up by the first batch of testers months ago.

I’ve quit unfortunately. I’m not home very often, accessing my PC is quite difficult, and when I do get home I just don’t play it. Think about it, so many games has come out since Jagex announced Runescape mobile (back in 2017). Call of Duty made a whole new game and many more while Jagex cant get the game on mobile. That isn’t satisfying the needs of the player base, we atleast need some sort of regular updates or something. I don’t see any logical sense for it to take this long. Insert Wise words here.

My biggest issue is how the Android users all get these promotional items and things now (Founders Pack I think its called). Are you saying that I should find someone with an android and log in to get the bonus or will there be a bonus later ONLY for the people who didn't sign up during the android beta. This feels like a ripoff to me and honestly I am very much debating stopping playing because of this reason mostly. I have played this for 15 years now (as of early December 2019) and just got back into being a member a few months ago and in many ways am enjoying being back. We need a physical response to this: even if it tells us to use a friends phone to sign in on Android (even though we wont even use it) so we don't miss these limited and neat promotions. Also a response to whether there will be an EXCLUSIVE reward package for people who didn't sign up during the android beta especially people who were members during this unfair period. This could all be easily made fair but as it stands I feel lied to and even looked down upon. I also understand the issues with having a beta on IOS and how it can't be the same as on Andriod. We want to feel a part of the changes being made and right now just feel sick to our stomach. Please make this right ASAP (I also am sure I left some things out so if the community has any ideas about balancing this further lets hear them) I only hope the seriousness of this oversight can be seen by the bigwigs and hope that if it isn't addressed that they realize how many disappointed IOS users are leaving the game because of this.
Thank you for hearing my thoughts and my condolences to all IOS users like myself.
