We have Guthix, Saradomin, and Zamorak God Birds.
Isn't it time for an Armadyl?
Good idea.
Abandoned hatchery. A small island that was once used as a nesting ground, but a particularly cold winter froze the eggs over, petrifying them. Could read some tablets laying around about how it's now a memorial ground, learn about why the aviansie abandoned it instead of taking them with them.
Could find an armadyl god egg, could also learn how transmute eggs using energy from some of the prior islands mentioned... So using the energy you could transmute a saradomin/guthix/zamorak egg into an armadyl/zaros/bandos egg. The one Armadyl egg would be a reward, but you'd have to transmute any additional ones to get them.
I'm not sure if this is a lore fail on my part, so there's a good chance I'm incorrect. However, I'd love to know more about Ikov. To say that there's a 'Temple of Ikov', I feel like we don't know all that much about Ikov as a character. I'd love to learn more about Ikov through Rite of Passage, not necessarily even through the quest - but maybe additional lore players can find via exploration.
We know very little about Ikov at the moment so you're not wrong there.
What we know is Ikov was a high ranking Armadylean, and likely had their own following. Ikov most likely lived in the 2nd/3rd age and probably was connected to the Guardians. I would theorise Ikov may have played an important role for human Armadyleans, but not sure on that. For what it's worth we don't even know if Ikov is dead
There's a chance Ikov had some connection to Teragard as well, as the temple is protected by a Fire Warrior of Lesarkus which we've learned was an experiment from Teragardian magister Lesarkus. There may be other ways to explain that though.

Weird thought, but now that I think about it, there would be a little bit of weird logic to an Armadyl God Bird.
Avianese follow Armadyl.
Avianese are birds.
There is Chikara (spelling?) for the Armadyl GWD Boss Pet.
Does this mean we would have to enslave a baby avianese to be an Armadyl God Bird?
Or would it be a mutated or deformed avianese?
Or would we have to include lore that on Abbinah there are other species of birds that were pets or genetic offshoots, much the same way we classify Humans vs other primates here IRL?

I asked what, if any, connection there is between Lesarkus and Ikov, and if Ikov is a Magister or not, at the Lore Marathon. This was the answer (around 1:31:13 in the VOD on Youtube)
Original message details are unavailable.
A: Ikov was not a Magister. It's not a direct relation, it's a bit of a - sort of - troll thing on our part, it's ... The Fire Warrior of Lesarkus is a particular thing that I can't really discuss without going into deep Teragardian lore. I've written a massive document for all the people at work but I don't [inaudible] how much we can say. It's sort of tangentially linked, it's not a direct, clear path. If that makes sense.
So if there is a connection between Ikov and Teragard (Lesarkus), it's only tangential.
Could be some good fodder for some Guardians of Armadyl lore for this quest/maybe post-quest, to be sure.
^ There's got to be a concept artist or a modeler who's tried to make them in their TAPP time at some point. How much work would it be to add new birds into the code?
As for the Avainsie pet, I we have a Goebie Spawnling, why not a Avaintese Chick?
