The Eye of Het is going to be used to restore somebody's life as you mentioned, and that somebody is Tumeken logically. But first they will have to find Scabaras.

Not someone's life, But the lives of the soldiers lost in the EGW so that the forces can be replenished. Right now all we have is the dialogue inside the Cathedral Between the Gods and ichlarin to go off of.

Don't forget Itchlarin can free the dead soldiers from the Underworld. He doesn't need to ask anybody to do that. We know he returned Zanik to the living world.

If that was still true, he would have already done it here. As it stands, he is offering the Gods a way to bring back willing souls Temporarily ( unlike Zanik) to help aid the battle. And The only way that is possible is by using the item Het had hidden away.

"Icthlarin: Do you want my help or not?
Seren: Yes, Icthlarin, we do. Please, continue.
Icthlarin: I see you have resorted to necromancy. In any other situation I would condemn it. As it stands...I can offer an alternative.
Armadyl: Anything that can replace this horror is welcome.
Icthlarin: My family once held a power that could temporarily restore willing souls to life, as a last resort.
Icthlarin: My demigod brother, Het, used it in the form of an amulet.
Icthlarin: He gave it up and allowed it to be forgotten many centuries ago. The potential for its misuse was too great.
Icthlarin: Normally I would respect Het's wishes and defer to his wisdom. But given the circumstances...
Icthlarin: If you truly wish to resurrect the dead and give them another chance to fight, then this could provide a better path."

Of course it is still true. Icthlarin controls the Underworld, but not the other afterlives like Erubus. He can permit the likes of Zanik to return on his own.

Not in this situation. In this situation Ichlarin is clearly not using his ability to bring back people to life and instead decided to find Het's amulet for the battle.

That's what I meant before.
Time to follow an trail of Treasure.

Of course he doesn't want to bring back dead people who are not helpful against the Elder Gods. He agreed to let Zanix live again because like the World Guardian she is special. However, if the one he is going to bring back is his father who also happens to have the Elder Hammer and Template then it is definitely what he wants to do.

Besides, bringing back some dead people like Zanik who died in one piece and his soul intact is not like reanimating Tumeken who may be resting in pieces like Zaros and Seren once were.

in case you were wondering zanaris is gilenor's moon. and arposandra is tied to the poison waste, which is a very cool theme ripe with possibilities for lore. probably glouck the gnome is hatching a plan to invade gilenors moon. poison waste elite dungeons would be really interesting and arposandra is a lost city anyway. we need to uncover it with the archaeology skill most likely.

there is interesting gnome magic which could blossom into a new spellbook or a new prayer book. one new prayer in the gnomish magic prayer book i could think of would have a similar effect as camouflage potions do.

although my opponents argue the gnomish questline is finished, i think "The Search for Arposandra" is a fitting title for the first of a new series of grandmaster quests with very high expectations for essential lore and a city as wonderful as priffddinas is.

Any updates on the follow-up quest in the Elder God Wars storyline? I’ve just got the Quest Point cape on my combat account and am craving for new quests! Combat level: 15.
Level 99 in all non-combat skills: July 7th, 2020.

There is going to be a Grand Master Quest at the end of the Elder Godwar saga. There will be many lore based content updates leading up to the it. Next Monday they will be releasing some information. Like the preview of Het's Oasis, we may be able to deduce some lore and upcoming quests before hand. :)

Hopefully the thread gets updated with 2021 and 2022 story content. We saw 2 miniquests come out in january for example. We also got word of the upcoming quest as the finale of the elder godwars saga. It is the first grandmaster since sliske's endgame saw the day of light, which sets quite some expectations. As for the ETA, I'm not quite sure if the 5th boss of EGW is coming first. I'm hoping for a release in may or june, but we'll see.
Any thoughts on what is going down with this quest? Will we finally get to know what Zaros is doing with the monolith?

Lore based content doesn't have to come with a quest or mini-quest. If you have done the new slayer mobs, you may have already found the lore that Erebus is on the horizon.
