Yeah, I'm not saying it's impossible to tie Violet into the ongoing story. After all, "Desperate Times" tied two quests into the story that seemed full standalone on first sight (You Are It, THe Needle Skips)

I'm just wondering whether there was any announcement made regarding the quest being "Violet is Blue 2"... I've been trying to find something but no results..

No proper announcement AFAIK. They could be just calling it a nickname or some default names like what people called the Slime Quest actually came as Once Upon a Slime.

Regarding Violet, she is actually quite special already as a little child that small (like 5 or 6 maybe?) has such a powerful roar and can make and roll so many huge snowballs down the hill. Remind me of kid Goku...Perhaps we are going to help her find her true parents? :)

Confirmed the next quest is coming next Monday and it is:

Violet is Blue Two Too

Interesting name, seems cryptic too. How "Blue" is Violet, hmm... like Saradomin Blue? And who TOO?

Violet is Blue Too is out.

Wonder how much of a dry spell we're going to have on quests ...

Lore based content (can be mysteries, miniquests etc) and meaningful heart-warming seasonal quests are more relevant than fetch-this-or-that-quests with barely anything ties to the main game. RS3 has said it many times already so I won't expect anything more than 3 or 4 quests a year. But does it really matter as I am sure a lot of players are extremely happy with the Archaeology Mysteries RS3 put up this year, although they are actually a lot of interconnected quests with being called quests. :)

That said, I am looking forward to having 3 or 4 quests and plenty of lore based content similar to Archaeology Mysteries and Tales of the Arc kind of quests that aren't called quests.

"A multi-part 20th anniversary quest –
Once Upon a Time
is a new four-part 20th anniversary series that will run across the entire year as a celebratory romp through RuneScape’s past, present, and even provide a glimpse of its future. It begins on 25th January with the prologue called ‘Foreshadowing’, which sets the scene for the adventure to come.
The epic Elder Gods story arc ignites throughout 2021 as the as the conflict with the legendary beings that created the universe intensifies."
- Jagex CEO Phil Mansell (aka Mod Pips)

So the next permanent RS3 quest starts on Jan 25 or 3 weeks from today, with 3 more parts of the quest line to follow throughout the year 2021. There will be, of course, an epic Elder God story line arc in 2021 too.

Enjoy! :)

Or Arposandra could be where an elder god lies lurking

We already know the whereabouts of the Elder Gods:

Mah - dead, body in Freneskae.
Jas - sleeping in Heart of Gielinor.
Ful - awaken, moved to Anachronia after Desperate Measures.
Bik - sleeping underneath the Entrana sea.
Wen - sleeping near White Wolf Mountain and the Ice Mountain.

It is unlikely to find an elder god in Arposandra. The lore doesn't suggested so either as the representative from Arposandra in Seren's Council also indicated Arposandra is too small and probably too primitive to spare a garden, let alone a place for an elder god.

There is probably an elder god artifact under wraps in Arposandra too.

This is even more unlikely, if even possible, as Arposandra was founded in the 4th Age but the Elder Gods have discarded their Artifacts in either the 1st or early 2nd Age before Guthix went to sleep.

Only 2 of the Elder Artifacts haven't been found yet - the Hammer and the Template, and one was said to be in the Desert.

I hope the 20th anniversary miniquests are as fun to play through as the Tales of the Arc. With the exception of Impressing the Locals and Flag Fall, I played through them all in one sitting after I got all the required skills. They were a lot of fun especially after earning my Quest cape with the completion of Curse of the Black Stone.

That said I'm not a fan of the Elder Gods series. Yes, they're graphically impressive and the rewards have been decent, but I'm not fond of the storyline itself. The Elder Gods are not very compelling antagonists and I hate that other questlines with better written stories have been neglected. Plus, they introduce a level of power creep that could be very damaging to the game's lore in the long run once their storyline comes to an end.

For now I'll just enjoy the other lore related content Jagex has released. Archaeology is just packed with stuff I'd love to dive right into and I still need to do the Raksha miniquest.
