On the Polled Quests

Sometimes, things get polled not so much as to see it get dev'd, but to see where it might stand with the community.
Just because a dev thinks the idea could be funny or technically useful, doesn't mean that the community as whole thinks so. For example: they could have had 3 ideas for a Land of Snow themed quest, and instead of a Violet focused sequel, she now has a small cameo in it or her part makes up a small section of the overall quest.
Sometimes, a weak concept could also be held onto to either be reworked/rewritten later ... or be rolled into another concept.
Sometimes, the idea would still come out ... just instead of it being say a Fate of the Gods type quest in terms of production, they instead opt to scale it down to the scope of a bottle quest.
It's possible they're also looking for a higher percentage, something 75+% like OSRS lol

It’s like the 2015 polling for expansions in the end it didn’t really matter, 5 years later we have the winner (the arc) & Menaphos plus Anachronia, only one we’re technically missing is underwater city. But that kind of got some attention with the pirate quest and elite dungeons.
Seemingly an overarching plan for Rs is already in place and it has been for a while.
Bad at analogies but think of it as Mod Osbourne steering the ship through a field of icebergs, with a bunch of little speedboats (other devs) getting to make excursions (game content) occasionally they’ll find survivors on the icebergs (players) who in exchange for being saved (playing new content) offer guidance (feedback) which is some times actioned upon, and some times lost as the players fall overboard.
Hopefully Dave can navigate a safe
and not sink the ship.
Also yay for a Violet is blue sequel.
Also also left a not overly subtle hint for a quest I’d love to still happen but in all likelihood isn’t going to. Check out Thieves guild layout redesign. Happy ‘scaping
