Death of Wise Old Man:
Kind of torn on this one. The Wise Old Man provides an essential service, so someone would have to replace him.

This could be a good story, could go VERY wrong.

One idea is to wrap this inside of OSRS's "Making Friends with My Arm" The Wise Old Man should NOT die just because the troll wants him dead, but instead be from other causes, although the long-term effect will be the same. This leaves one quest basically nested inside the other, similar to One Small Favor.

I would love to see dragon slayer 2. It's a long time ago since I killed Elvarg. I'm wondering what they come up with. I would not mind that they use OSRS content. Why think of something new when something good is already invented inside the same company.

Finishing up storylines like white knight, dessert quests and maybe an elf quest too, is something I look forward to.

I would love to see some quests that matter for gielinor without the gods involved.

Exploring the God wars, first age and third age is something I personly look forward to. I would love to see the wilderness before it was destroyed...

I can agree with most of what you say here but ‘violet is blue’ wasn’t that bad a quest, if anything it was one of the better quests released around that time. Definitely beat the cheesecake quest (chefs assistant).
It was a bit linear, but that’s kind of the nature of seasonal quests, the only real drawbacks were the sliding ice puzzles, which frustrated a lot of players.

It would have made sense to have the sequel this year, but since it didn’t do too well it probably got shelved or canned entirely and I’ll be surprised if we do see it.

MonkeyMadness 2 - I’d start with this one as well, templates there, it’s been ages since we’ve been to Ape Atoll, bonus nostalgia points. 1 thing to consider is the monkey colony in the desert.

Dragon Slayer 2 - Can see this going one of two ways; straight sequel borrows a bit from 07, or Jagex rework the original quest first similar to what they did with some other older quests.

Desert treasure 2 - For me would be next on the list, game needs some big hitting quests atm these 3 sequels could well bring that. Would rebalance the originals boss fights to be better suited to EOC whilst they were at it. Or maybe add a hard mode post quest boss fight?

Every other quest - Whatever order you like to be honest, just as long as theirs some tangible form of passion put into them. Runescape was built partially on great quests so things like cheesecake based fetch quests are a big nope from me.

Polls are just for references. RS3 Jmods explicitly mentioned in Runefest they would not design and develop content solely based on polls, and they referred to the failure of the OSRS poll system and called it problematic as their justification. In fact, even OSRS Jmods are beginning not to honor passed OSRS poll results just a few days ago.

That said, I support RS3 Jomds to make quests based on their own schedule and creativity, and only use the poll results on the side.

Cheesecake quest was sort of the bottom of the barrel. I wouldn't really compare anything to it.

Where did you hear this? There will be riots...

That very creativity gave us the cheesecake quest. :P I'd honestly rather they stick to the poll results.

This thread though isn't really meant to be about the
what
, more of the
how
.
