I really do not see any point in making sum 120.
Sum needs a rework but increase it to 120 makes no sense to me, because we will create massive empty spots and the sum creatures that do need the amount of xp will either be way to op or totally not worth it to get.
Yet sum is already like this so i fail to see any problems?
Plus i dont see why everything must have a use, sometimes theres just going to be content thats not widely used.

Second part of my post is pretty important for your first question:
To be honest I do think that we should rework other skills first and look how sum can support these skills after a rework.
Its pretty useless to rework a supporting skill if you rework the other skills anyway, because you have to adjust summoning again after the rework.
Its a supporting skill ofc it has to be useful it needs to support other skills.
You say it does not have to be useful if this is true then the best option would be to just remove summoning form the game.
Fire making is a perfect example.
Before the bone fires the pyro did help fire making, but after they added bone fires the pyro just didn't had any use so it became death content.
That's why I say rework the other skills first and look at summoning after.
This way you can make summoning way more useful and it can become a real supporting skill.

No point??
New summoning creatures to help with skilling / combat
Better way to train summoning (Still in talks to what it could be)
You don't have to adjust summoning... the new training method would not affect the current way you can train it.
Owner of Mischievous Misfits you can

I'm sceptical. I don't like the way charms are obtained now
...despite having the Charming Imp
it takes
hours
...
then requires lots of
money
finally
wait
for the bxp weekend
Then invest in the time. I'm almost 200m summoning and I barely noticed myself collecting charms due to Slayer. Seriously, you can't please everyone.

The only thing I see here is I don't want to train to 120 summoning. I doubt you will be missing out on alot anyway it's probably slightly better familars for skilling and combat. Why not rework and do 120 summoning at the same time?
