The Well of Souls is similar to the Well of Eternity in World of Warcraft. The Well of Eternity gets its resurrection powers from absorbing world souls. It really rings the bell here in RS3.

The Well of Eternity is also a portal to the banished Shadowlord Sargeras of the Burning Legion. He was one of the primordial guardians of world souls but turned to the dark side and sought to destroy all world souls. In RS3, that would be Xau-Tak, who once was in the league of the elder gods, or the sixth elder gods of Zaros.

World of Warcraft players will likely get the remastered vibes of The Burning Crusade in RS3's Necromancy and City of Um.

I predict new players to RS3 are really going to like the new "new player experience". Even RS3 FSW players who probably aren't as new should really find the similar fun and fair experience through of leveling and adventuring with the free Challenger set equivalence in the new Necromancer set. There is no needs to worry about making gp to buy gear like in many old cookie cuttie MMORPGs with heavy grinding and new players can't progress because they can't buy the necessary gear.

More players will get into combat, perhaps even skillers too, because some of the annoying bosses to new pvmers will no longer be so annoying. For instance, KQ is very annoying because she requires swtichscape, but with Necromancy, we hit her all her prayers with the same Necromancy set.

It seems extremely likely Necromancy is even bigger than what Jagex has showed us so far.

"The story is also supported by 9 Quests packed with lore as you uncover mysteries about Necromancy, Rasial and the City of Um – many of which lead to critical unlocks for creating more powerful Necromancy gear or accessing new abilities."

Originally they told us about the 7 Quests, two weeks later now they are telling us 9 quests.

I won't be an iota surprised if what they freshly revealed in the 4th Rex Matriarch and Daemoheim Archaeology are also parts of the Necromancy lore and aftermath of such content.

Mod Rowley also revealed we are going to have more weapon diversity than the Death Guard and Skull Lantern offhand they originally previewed.

Necromancy will be full of surprises, perhaps even far more than former RS3 Jmod Raven told us.
