They introduced EOC whilst the overwhelming majority was against it..... PAG's won't change that attitude.

Remember it slightly differently to be honest. The majority were initially for it... then they played it (beta testing) then they gave feedback, changes got made and it got a full release. Then they complained and further changes got made. Then they complained some more and Jagex polled the reintroduction of 07 which passed with a majority vote in favour.
Check out Thieves guild layout redesign. Happy ‘scaping

It was more than just "slightly different" to be honest. Things have changed since the initial reactions to the EOC development happened almost 10 years ago. Since then we have Legacy Worlds implemented in RS3 too but as the results and usages show, the reality is, unlike what Jamzi thought, most players don't use Legacy Worlds and as a result a lot of them have been REMOVED from the game rather.
The REALITY is RS3 players definitely prefer EOC to Legacy mode

Ehhh... ROFL... the reality is, legacy is NOT what we had before EOC, and THAT is the reason nobody uses it. ;)

So? It is natural selection. When some players wanted Legacy Mode in 2012, Jagex listened and added Legacy Worlds. When almost nobody wants Legacy Worlds NOW, Jagex again listened and removed Legacy Worlds. They always listen to players, and that's the whole point of the discussion of this thread.

I don't think you disagree with me quite as strongly as you may believe you do...not if you can admit sometimes Jagex makes unpopular decisions. Stone spirits anyone?.

To be fair I don’t really disagree with what your saying just the wording makes it seem like Jagex never listen. When we both know they listen occasionally. :)

That is fair. I do like to ask the tough questions.

Does Jagex listen? Sure...sometimes.

As for Yaktrack there’ll be some suit somewhere high up at Jagex who looks at player ‘engagement’. We might not like the stupid Grindy thing but a lot of players actually took part in it. (Not me)

I'll admit I completed the first Yak Track, and I'm more than halfway through the current one. If Jagex is looking at my engagement level based on tasks completed, they'll be pleased - until they notice I have bought no bonds to purchase skips, nor will I. That lack of engagement will sadden them, I'm sure. After all, these Yak Tracks were designed simply to sell more bonds. I do not pay to skip content. If I want to skip content, I'll just not do it, for free.

The simpsons did a pretty decent parody episode covering the nature of grind and superfluous rewards that incentivise people to do things they normally wouldn’t.

I haven't seen that one, but I can imagine. Sounds awfully familiar. ;)

You can buy XP. You can't buy experience.
"...From The 'Scape" is very nearly here.
