Seems very much like Seren Spirits, even the sound effect is the same. Last I checked Seren Spirits won't spawn in Senntisten. If this is still the case, then probably pumpkins won't spawn skilling in Senntistlen either. Just a note.

If you believe this event sucks in P2P, try playing it as a free player.

No parties, long gaps between pumpkin spawns, mostly garbage rewards, not even a damn teleport to the event host (as we had for previous events).

What happened to the notion of holiday events being fun? They didn't even deploy the spooky decorations this year!

A pitiful effort, Jagex - assuming you put any real effort into this latest MTX-fest. I've been putting out fire with gasoline! ^_^

No parties? I don't even have to go to the 1k player worlds. I just my last party on W123 with only 500 total players online and there were like 100 of them in the party.

The Pumpkin Smashing Party doesn't require MTX at all.

Ya event sucks in um esp others 2 spots not as bad. The oddments you get for treasure hunter way too low and the rewards are like 25k needed. I got 5 purples in a row and no luck and what only 50 oddments that's lame why even buy keys if not going to be rewarded. the last few events same many people always lucky and not me i cant even get the thieving pet and im well over 400mil xp now should be automatic at 200mil.

But we can get like 2.5k to 4k H'Oddments a day with just minimal time spent.

6 times Smashing Pumpking for 5 minutes each = 2.5k H'Oddments.

3 free TH keys + 10 from Oddments Store = 13 TH keys = at least 650k from Oddments cashed out (and you have to be incredibly unlucky to get the bare minimum of 50 H'Oddment ecah time) + 800 from filling up the bar. That's 1450 H'oddments already even if you don't roll any H'Oddment rewards.

The emotes are very easy to get, and you can buy them from GE or other players for very cheap prices too.

In my first line, I was crystal clear I am talking about F2P, so whatever you do or see on a members' world does not apply. There are NO Smashing Pumpkin Parties for free players.

Since the Grim Harvest promo does not award oddments, and Daily Challenges do not grant TH keys in F2P, obtaining keys as a free player is currently only practical through completing quests (assuming you have not done all the F2P quests), or hoping you earn a few keys by playing the game for an extended period.

Oh wait...there is another way - buying key packages. There is your MTX. Is it required? Obviously not. Is it "encouraged" as a way to make sure you can claim all the limited-time goodies? Absolutely. I've been putting out fire with gasoline! ^_^

It is common for RS3 events to have member and F2P content, but it is still far more generous than events that are only open to members in OSRS such as DMM, Leagues and Boss Bash Raffles.

F2P can still use TH as they are also guaranteed free daily keys. Obviously F2P don't care about MTX and they don't have to because the reality is they can still get TH rewards for their free keys.

the biggest annoyance about the pumpkin parties is that they will randomly despawn and reappear at other locations. This is especially aggravating at the city parties. They need to make the pumpkin parties solo contribution only and you can smash as many pumpkins as you want until the 5 minute event is over. I don't like having to compete against other players raising the total collective target.
