I just donated 100k gp to try out the secret santa event but the gift I got was a single 10gp roast potato. Is this meant to be a valid secret santa gift? From the dialogue I was under the impression anything had to have a value of 10k+ so there's no junk in there

If you an iron (doing it to unlock the title) then that's all you will get as it got hot fixed when it first came out few years ago. Also, if like past events then every world is different, if no one on your world has handed anything in then there is nothing to claim so try a busy world.

Contrary to what I thought, I actually have plenty of old Christmas items I missed out the past years despite having played this game for 22 years.

It seems like I am going to spend more time in Santa Village than I planned for. The good thing is all the activities are 100% AFK and I have phone, so not too big a nuisance even when I am going out shopping or visiting friends.

Remember if you hand in the daily santa sack presents you get 200 points x 7 days x 5 weeks is another 7k free points.

Old account I need 6k points and on this I need 21k + 4k for the 2 new items, it won't take long I think it's about 3k at fishing and 2k afking snowballs.

The "problem" is I need more than just 7k Christmas Spirits. I need like 30k of them surprisingly. Anyway, it is hardly a big deal when everything comes almost 100% AFK (except one click every 15 minutes). I don't think I will take out my phone and click once every 15 minutes when I am out dancing and partying. However, there are plenty of occasions I can afford to do one click every 15 minutes for a few times a day.

For Purple presents, I check in game items including does not have a message of membership. So this is bug for purple and gold presents. Purple santa hat can be obtained blue and white presents. Gold present guarantee a Purple Santa hat.

It is a bug.

While most of the event is ok I guess, and the spirit store is a good idea for some; it really is a waste for people like me. I have all the cosmetics and once I did the quest, the spirit points bought the hat and 30 min at the snowball making I had the scarf. The rest is now dead content.

Perhaps they should have added a consumable section like trade spirit for stars or lamps. Maybe trade spirit for wrapping paper like 2000 spirit for 200 wrapping paper(enuff for a pressie) or even make it hard like 2000 spirit for 20 wrapping paper.

Something so extra spirit isn't just lost. Give people like me a reason to participate.

See, Knight, I would argue that if you've played every Christmas event up to this point - that you have the most freedom of any player to enjoy the event as you see fit.

1. You absolutely need to do Christmas Village activities each day in order to earn a letter from Santa and get that day's nice point. If you miss a nice point, you need Christmas Spirit in order to purchase letters.

2. You earn Wrapping Paper for doing any skilling activity in the game - and the activities at the Christmas Village offer particularly AFK methods for earning Wrapping Paper - which particularly shines for a skill like Construction, while also getting you Spirit you can use for any days you don't log in.

3. Once you have your nice points, there is no pressure to stick around and spend a majority of your playtime at the Christmas Village like other players may face.

Even for players who only want wrapping papers but not Christmas Spirits, Santa Village is still the best place to do it as it is just 1 click every 15 minutes. All the other AFK skilling activites are less AFK than the likes of crafting snowballs in Santa Lounge, as everything else requires far more attention with many clicks every 5 minutes at most.

Got some more cosmetics. There will definitely be left over Christmas spirit.

I wish Smokey was available as a pet . Got some titles. {nice, frosty,cosy}

I’ve been making snowballs and it’s completely afk which is cool. Nice event !

Can we carry Christmas Spirit over to next Christmas? I'll love to see more usages on Christmas Spirit, especially for future seasonal events and upgrading of seasonal items.

We have the blueprints of doing future Halloween events with H'Oddments already. Christmas Spirit are now giving us great rewards for the present and the past, and they should have the potentials of giving us much better, beneficial and enjoyable Christmas Spirit of the Future. :)
