Dilbert2001, you seem to still not be understanding. You said a person can purchase 20 Bonds to redeem for Premier membership. While this is true, this only benefits the one person who is redeeming them. What if a person, such as myself, may only purchase 10-15 bonds every 3 months or so? I would be using 6 of them for my membership, and selling the others on the Grand Exchange to benefit other players.
In essence, I may actually over the course of a year be buying 40-50 bonds, and/or various key packages. My use and consumption may not be all in one go, and I enjoy being able to help another player who may lack the financial means IRL to be able to access Bonds. These changes have provided even more rewards for one subset of players, while massively disincentivizing another type of player such as myself. I enjoyed being able to log in and do my dailies and farm run every day, and then maybe a couple of hours on whatever skill I was trying to work on. I liked that I could choose what type of daily challenges I was doing to give me a boost in skills I don’t enjoy as much. I liked being able to benefit myself and my community both in the way that I play, and the way that I pay.
Before this change, Premier membership already had a large number of benefits that I knew I was not getting and would not get, but I was okay with that because I felt that I was still getting my money’s worth. I do feel I am being punished because I don’t want to sign up for a yearly package. I want the ability to spend money when I am enjoying what they are offering and save my money when they are not.
At the end of the day, yeah it’s their game and they’re going to do what they want. I will part with this though: this is an MMO, without the community it’s just a glorified single player game. I am hopeful that they will consider feedback from the community as a whole and come to a solution, and quickly.
