IMO divination is already a community based skill. More MMO than most.
1. Players train together on W79 to provide for endless enriched resources.
2. Players gather and compete for the chronicle fragments that others fail to collect.
3. Those chronicles are used to empower the crater.
4. The resource spawns add time for every player that clicks on it.
5. Whatever happens in the hall of memories. I'm not really sure but players are working together in there, having collected orbs for charging the center piece.
6. Caches are cooperative. You make adjustments based on what other players are doing.
7. You can buy energies from other players to maximize your own XP conversion rates.
What does herb farming have? In 5 minutes I have cleared all my locations and moved on to something else. I'd rather not see other players because I have to click around them when planting.
Well, they could just add hundreds of NPC spawns to populate the game world. Non interactive, merely decorations. Somehow I prefer the real people. I take comfort in their presence. If not their witty dialogue.

NPCs aren't players. You don't feel the massiveness of the world when every "person" around you are bots. For the same reason, even some game is HUGE but all of them are bots you still won't feel like playing a massively multi

We should have actually learned from real world events live crowds and dummies/bots hardly give the same result. For instance, during the COVID-19 social distancing period, a lot of major events like Premier League and NFL suffered dearly with no attendance, so they put cardboard cutout "fans" in the stadiums and pretend they were still "massive". The reality is they weren't the same thing as cardboard cutouts, bots, dummies etc didn't add to the immersive of a massive event.
I have re-comped days ago despite being just semi active. With 500 Crux Equa credit per patch, literally most comp'ed players would have re-comped more than a week ago.
However, we still see plenty of farming noobs, even the comp'ed and re-comped ones myself are still enjoying the farming runs like the old days.
