The good news is the banner on the support page saying there is delayed response was removed. So the response is now normal. (?)

Seems like i've been forced to quit the game because jagex have locked me out of all my accounts and at the moment just giving me links that doesn't work

it has been the worst upgrade i have ever seen.i have been in computers for 45+ years, i design my own games and apps, i would never make my users go through the intensly messed up routine this has been. i use the authenticator from google, and it simply sidestepped that (i feel they should have respected that to say the least and after getting that code then alerted the user that it is now disabled ) i used to use my player name not email, but now it is UNCLEAR as no alert said "now you will log on with email"
i use both mobile and pc, it mentions a launcher but there is no launcher on android, i had to reinstall for the mobile to ask me who i was though it still said my char name. after the weekend i tried on pc (after playing saturday and sunday on mobile) then it would not allow log on saying my password (which was clearly correct) was wrong. after reading the screen it stated changing your password would immediatly remidy the situation i changed my pass, then i could not log on on pc or mobile. i finally now have after quite a few hours got the mobile back on but pc does not even try to check my password. i goes right to server is down try again in a few mins (yes it now says minutes, but i do not believe that as it has been like a half hour.)

just an update Jagex support figured out why i wasn't getting emails and its now been fixed, but if you have got a jagex account use the authenticator don't rely on the emails to arrive

Hmmm. Interesting thread. I've been away a while and downloaded the 'new launcher' as prompted - not knowing anything about the whys and wherefors - and whilst I can access the forums there is no way I can get actually into the game unless I migrate to this new system. Which I am reluctant to do, having read around a bit, but I don't have a choice. I can't play unless I comply.

OldSchool RuneScape.app
' that you are used to play RuneScape and OldSchool RuneScape with, and are present on your computer remain there and can be used to play without Jagex Launcher as long as Jagex/JMods allow that to happen.
The moment you manually remove one of both apps there's no option to reinstall them and you have to continue with Jagex Launcher.
