^ Sorry Trewavas, I was unavoidably delayed. I decided to scrap the song I was working on, in favor of a completely different song.

I heard one of my favorite Christmas songs on the radio on Monday. I thought, "I think I should do a rework of this song instead.". Then, I heard the same song on the same channel three more times - on Tuesday morning, Tuesday afternoon, and Tuesday night. I thought, "Ok Universe, you can stop nagging me now, for Guthix's sake!". :p

The song is "2000 Miles" by The Pretenders. It's about missing someone at Christmas.

My version is about missing someone you used to play RuneScape with long ago, remembering that person while you play through the current Christmas content.

I call it "2000 Days". Aslon Dak: Still 'Scaping after 19 years!

I know the feeling [being 'nagged' for songs], as it's something that happens to me all too often. Sometimes, the ideas start to flow as soon as I hear one.

A question for you: Do you ever hear a song playing on the radio which you have written a RuneScape version of, and find yourself singing along with it - but using your lyrics in place of the actual ones (even just in your head, not out loud)?

I will admit I do this. Quite often, actually. I may have a problem. :O :P

Sometimes, this is actually how I compose my versions. O_o

Yes, that happens to me too. I quite often find myself singing along in my head to some of my songs! Notably, things like 'My Sharona/My Twillowna', 'We Are The Champions/Nosword the Swordless', and 'Money, Money, Money/Double, Double, Double', among others. I must admit, I quite like how 'Surrender/Peng Herder' flows. I quite often listen to that on reset nights and sing along with my version, lol.

Hearing songs on the radio is a good way of picking new ones up, or finding inspiration. Usually, I just hear a few keywords, which either rhyme with something in-game, or are actually in-game. Things like 'It's Magic', 'Hammer To Fall/Hammer To Call', and 'Surfin' USA/Surfin' RSYay' are good examples of this.

Sometimes it's just about finding the perfect song to fit your idea, or being inspired by the song itself. As soon as I re-listened to 'Surfin' USA', I knew it would be perfect for the beach event. The same with 'Summer Lovin', which I turned into a song about fighting Clawdia!
