The developers of r/outside (aka IRLscape with over 7b players actively playing aka Real Life) had to make sure luck is disloyal for balancing reasons.
Imagine if luck could be permanently attained by several players for the duration of their playtime. That would create a level of unfairness that would potentially be game-breaking!
They just will not allow that to happen. It's why Real Life is a boring MMORPG that has nothing of interest. Just a long big grind until you get permanently banned simply because you're a veteran player. Some unfortunate players get banned quicker for no reason, or reasons out of their control. Game sucks.
