Tonight I achieved a significant goal as a pure F2P.

I used 16 yew logs I had in my inventory to build a bonfire in the center of the three yew trees west of Lumbridge Market. Just as I burned the last log, I reached Firemaking level 90!

I could burn elder logs and evil elder trees - if I was a member.

My Total Level is 1639 (Virtual Level 1647).

All my F2P skills are now at level 90 or better. ^_^
