It was telling to note the reaction of EU leaders .... immediate threats of "tough conditions" to be imposed upon the UK. Demands that the UK adhere to 'regulatory standards' in trade to protect the EU's interests ..... uhhh?

I thought that leaving the EU was all about economic freedom for the future~ Macron, Merkel et al must be shitting their pants now that that the dog has slipped the leash and are still trying to bring it back to heel with threats.

Indeed. BoJo's victory was in large part due to the historically staunch Labour constituencies voting for him. I'm assuming the Northerners dreaded the prospect of seeing Jeremy's ridiculous manifesto becoming reality .... those ambitious and costly plans he had would have been funded by taxing the bollocks off the ordinary working person and/or massive overseas borrowing. Both highly undesirable conditions for the Average Joe.

I expect it didn't help Jeremy's party that he has for years been tainted by his historic sympathetic leanings to Terrorist organisations and the current crisis over Anti-Semitism within the party itself. Odious traits in any Party or it's leader.
