When 2 million players each spend 1 hr per day in game A and 1 million players each spend 16 hr in game B, Game B will appear to have 8 times the "online players" as game A, even game A actully has 2 millions players.

"Online players" is just a snapshot, different users can see different numbers at different time. One may see "100-130k people playing OSRS compared to the 30-35k ppl playing RS3" but when in reality all the others can see just last YESTERDAY we had over 36.6k "online players" in RS3 and OSRS never had "130k online players" since April then we know these are absolutely not real numbers. :)

Without discussing the absolutely crooked logic on this matter too much, the numbers are absolutely made up, 16 hrs is 2/3 of an entire day and it will also require 100-100k people to play 16hrs/day all at the same time, and it would also require the other player base to be out of synch enough for it to seem they are less.

Luckily the reality is far simpler than that and its also true, and its easy to check too. OSRS has about x4-x5 more active players than RS3.

"Online players" are just online players at a snapshot point. They aren't actual active players that misrepresenting such numbers will result in real world regulators investigating into "crooked logic".

OSRS has more "online players" than RS3, but there is actually no indications OSRS has more "players", "active players", "playerbase" or whatever crooked terms, than RS3. We can all ask the real world governments for guidance. Fukong learned it, Jagex should know it, and I have absolutely no doubts Carlyle Group, one of the world top 3 private equity firms absolutely knows it.

Totally wrong to equate "online players" to "player base". It is simply undeniable just members alone, Jagex has 1.1 million players for RS3 and OSRS. "Online players" of 100k isn't the "player base" of 1.1 million. Even an 8 year old kid who is a Runescape player but not online now should have no problem understanding it.

By your earlier comment alone, that there is ''no indications'' OSRS has more players than RS3, there is, by your crooked/flawed logic, w/e term is easier for you to copy, no way of telling that RS3 has more players either. Therefore, by simple logic alone, you are left only with the number of players online on both games. And those numbers range from 100k to 110-120k of online players in OSRS and 30-35k players playing in RS3. Thus making OSRS player base bigger than that of RS3.
Even an 8 yrs old kid makes the difference between 118k people playing OSRS and 31k ppl playing RS3.

There is no indication OSRS or RS3 has more actual active players based on "Online Players".

"Online players" simply don't mean active players. I am not online now but I am absolutely an active player. Not just 8 year old kids, but 6 year old kids should have no problem understanding it.

Why pulling numbers out of nowhere? Just yesterday alone, we saw over 36.6k "online players"for RS3, not "30-35k" from some crooked/flawed logic.

Playing the game means being active, even a 4 years old kid can understand that- I really want to see you dropping that number further, just for the fun.

So back to the point, more people play OSRS than RS3, making OSRS player base bigger than that of RS3. As of right now, there are 116k people playing OSRS and 30k playing RS3, tho im not so sure about the RS3 ones since they might be in lobby.
