New Twitter post from the RS3 team, guiding our preparations to Necromancy. They have 3 levels of Necromancy preparation for us:

https://twitter.com/RuneScape/status/1677350568841433090/photo/1

To be Ready for Everything, you will need:

85 Smithing
85 Crafting
60 Runecrafting
99 Prayer
107 Herblore
Quest: King's Ransom
Quest: Ghost Ahoy
Quest: The Jack of Spades
Quest: Vegeance
Quest: Nadir
Quest: The Blood Pact

99 Prayer and 107 Herblore should be a bit of work up front for some players. We can get better xp from our Fort Forinthry Chapel and you can make good use of Het's Oasis burial powders otherwise. Dream of Iaia and Herby Werby are great ways to get alot of Herblore xp the easy and costless way for higher level players.

Tune into the livestream on this Wednesday regarding the reward of the new Dead and Buried quest which will be the pivotal one setting up the new Necromancy skill.

We will also get the Necromancy lore developer blog on Thursday.

We are going to many new things to prepare after Thursday. :)

The item list mentions Subjugation outfit.
Does anyone know if the Lucky version will count?

Doubtful, as Lucky items that come from many sources like Prime Gaming nowadays can't be augmented or upgraded, so even if you can use them in Necromancy it probably won't be a good idea.

DXP Live is coming up in a week, it should be great time to get a leg up in leveling Smithing, Crafting, Runecrafting, Herblore etc that are very helpful for new Necromantic content.

Next week's Necromancy developer blog will reveal more insights on Necromancy combat.

We can prepare for double barrel Necromancy paths for both skillers and killers next week.

Now we are getting to the lore and preparing for the Rise of the First Necromancer.

We are getting an Ectoplasmic Residue as our first clue...

I am looking up all kinds of items, NPC, stories with Ectoplasm in RS3 now... Hmm.... are you preparing to do some experiments with Buckets of Slime (or actually Buckets of Ectoplasm)?

I haven't prepped at all because I have soooo much other stuff to do. Very excited however!

Never be excited about a new skill as it will only let you down. Expect the worst and then you will get a nice surprise if it turns out to be good.

Haha good idea. That happened to me with Summoning back in 2008. I wasn't expecting much but in the end it turned out to be my favorite skill!

I've seen some clips on YouTube and it looks very tempting!
