In order to summon the avatar, you must be ranked Admin or higher, and be allocated the Avatar Warden job.

Selecting the initial buffs can only be done at first interaction with the avatar, ( usually by the owner unless any other ranks have been given the permission), so be sure to select the ones you really want, as they cannot be changed.
