Yes, Sinkholes are doable, a bit risky, but doable. There are two tactics to doing it, the first - rush right off the bat and collect the exploration totems then skill, and the second - hang back and just skill your ass off. Either method will net you into the top 1-2 spots, just have to make sure you are focused on depositing your stuff right away. There is no way to prevent yourself from attacking anything in there as the c'bow setup acts like a Crystal Bow, so just a bit of extra precaution.

The Sunchoke Plant might be a nice little passive boost to xp while playing Soul Wars, but I wouldn't just flat out use them as a training method. The Flytraps are meh xp for thieving. Grapes might be usefull seeing as how the Super Sarabrews heal 800 as opposed to 500 per dose, a tad expensive at the moment as they're a bit rare. I don't really recommend the Wishing Plant, planted three of them and only the one came close to breaking even.

I want to try sinkholes so bad! but i don't realy want to risk it... i'll probably try it once i guess. even if i attack something can't i just log out before its dead and not gain xp?

damn super sarabrews heal 800 lp! this could help me with the boss on contact big time!!!
I think last time i was out of sara brews when it was half way dead... but i might of had to many recoils in my inv. i think i could do it now.

I've got to admit, Close has got a point. The Sunchokes and the Prickly Pear plants shouldn't be a way to get your strength and defence xp only. But for many reasons (mostly the Sunchokes).

1. Protection: Not an hour goes by that I don't say "Oh snap, have to do my hops, have to do these hops, etc." What really gets to me is the amount of hops needed each time, 15 PER sunchoke, you're kidding.

2. Guarantee: And when I mean guarantee, I mean random. Sunchokes would give me (at 60 Strength), at the minimum, 200ish xp upwards to 700+ xp. It's not really a set guarantee of what kind of xp you're getting.

3. Too long of a wait: Pretty self explanatory. 3 Hours and 20 Minutes for these Sunchokes, 8 Patches, an average (for my lvl at 500xp average) 4k Strength xp a run. And only if you had a ton of hops you wouldn't have to log in for your hop runs. You just can't get 120 hops in one trip..

All in all, I believe that the Prickly Pear plant is worth the little xp it gives you honestly (8k at 60). But that's for 9 Hours and 20 Minutes of a wait there. I guess you could do it twice per day. Waking up and going to bed. Not a hassle. Oh and the payment? Jangerberries? They spawn near the Yanille Lodestone. Not a hassle.

Fly Trap? I never will try it (99 Thieving here), but the Barberry Bush, I love it. Gives around 303-1k+ Agility xp every harvest. And same time as the Sunchokes, 3 Hours 20 Minutes.

@Close: I heard from a few people now that the Wishing Well bush isn't what it's cracked up to be, it really sucks :l Grapevines are one of the hardest to get, and at 4 seeds per Hop patch... I don't even want to look at hops anymore.

I love Farming and I love this update, I just want to figure out a method to work it all in and for all of us to be happy.

You just have to get far enough away from it so your target on it goes away and it's health resets. If someone kills it in that time you're running away, you'll gain xp. Just be really cautious when you go through your first run, I'd recommend just skilling the first few runs through to get the hang of it.

I've planted 4 Wishing Well Plants so far with results of -100k, -100k, +/-0, and + 800k. I'll have to spend another hour picking gnomes to get some more seeds, want to get a more rounded test to see what the average is going to be. May try hunting Jadinkos for the seeds too, see their rates.

Edit: Did two more at +/-0, and -100k.

I certainly hope not. I think RS3 will just be updates of HTML5 and the interface (which is definitely gonna need some getting used to).

I haven't done slayer in a while... I desperately need to get back to doing Agility. I would have given anything to keep the cannon the way it was Pre-EoC. I would really love to do Slayer once again. Please Jagex? Please?

Just did Mage Arena, It wasn't easy lol. But it's doable

I used curses, recoils, and normal saradomin brews (flasks on the last form)

... When Super saradomin Flasks lower in price, and actually sell, I'm going to attempt the contact boss. Last time i tried it, i used normal saradomin potions (4) and got it 25% down. I think I can do it this time, if I use Super Saradoimin Flasks, and have less recoils in my inventory! :O

I've been thinking about possible ways to do Temple of Ikov without gaining hp xp.

The only way I see it being remotely possible is if:
you get 1 ice arrow, lower your range to the lowest if will go and splash attack him.
splash attack = no damage done. if its even possible with range (would 0 not give xp?)
then just recoil him the rest of the way.

I really want to test this but I'm nervous because I don't have a test account.

Anyone try god emissaries? Is it doable?

skiller tasks:
im on the last one... but if you have 1 summoning and 1 prayer, you must have 99 magic and runecrafting.
I'm 99 magic and 90 runecrafting :(
i'll get 99 eventualy I guess.. its easy with the runespan

Combat tasks:
the goblin:
this one was easy. I suggest cursing a goblin in lumbridge that a lumbridge guard is already attacking. He will still attack it but it will count as your kill! makes it go by a little faster.
killing the black/white knight:
it was easy.. once you find out the trick to it. simply curse a knight, then have a friend kill it. no xp gained and you get the kill count! it saves ALOT of time.
the guard task:
Simple. you have to keep cursing the guards though. like every 3-4 seconds curse him... or else you will have to start over... but other than that its good. you don't even need to kill one... just have to remain in combat.
Kalphite Worker task:
I'm on this one. but I'd assume you can do this like the black/white knight one. only difference is that these guys hit more.

I feel a bit more confident going into combat now, knowing a few more tricks of the trade. Kind of just wish I had an account that was mems and maxed for slayer... I'm actually on the last task for the combat job for the emissaries. All that's left is a black demon... A BLACK DEMON. Got dammit. I don't even think I brought enough brews to even beat it... doesn't hurt to keep trying. Blackston was able to beat a demon. Wonder how... Anyways, will update after all is said and done.
