thanks for all the info! i'll test it out on a trial acc first just to make sure then. i'll post how it went on here.

edit:
i tried killing a mogre several times. no luck
when i get it about 25-50% down with recoils and asa... it just goes back to it's pond. Fear the almighty Woo Lord ...

Yea, if you use just use a curse you'll get the drop and no hp xp guaranteed. The other method is to gain slayer xp and trigger for quests or whatever needs to be killed for something.

That's disappointing then, wonder why they retreat when recoiling. Blackston is a Naabe.

im going to fool around a bit and see if elderkiln is possible, it seems like you may be able to get past the first fight.. i'll be testing it with purple sweets and sara brews, will be harder with 1 def, but i'll still give it a ago
note: though at one point in the questI believe that tzhaar u protect will learn how to attack, i'll need to do that part on my main in order to test whether you get experience and a bunch of other stuff. 200m hp Exp / Frost Fox

was testing your quest trigger/slayer method using abilities

I can't seem to get it to work

I log out/in
use the top left target on ability bar and target the creature (i tested on guard)
then I proceed to use a basic magic ability: wrack, and it does damage on the first hit

edit: I double and triple checked that I had no mage spell selected for autocast
edit: more info: i was wielding a dark bow so i wouldnt accidently hit it with melee, i don't see how this would matter though

it was after the update i believe, and reason I didn't test with chain was because I didn't want multiple creatures on me

edit: completed first fight of elderkiln, but I need a quest trigger for the tzhaar champion, killed it but the scene wouldn't finish 200m hp Exp / Frost Fox

You'll most likely have to kill it with ASA if that still works. I'll see if that works here in a bit. Dislike how they keep patching stuff. :( Watch next patch be with recoils and drops...

Edit: ASA does not count as a trigger anymore. :( I tested it on two slayer tasks, scorpions and dogs, couldn't get the xp off of either using it. Not sure what we can do to trigger any quest now. Blackston is a Naabe.
