Since the quest list and runemetrics profile now have been updated to include miniquests, perhaps we should keep track of those as well?

Lair of Tarn Razorlor : Any reflect damage, BN and poison all work. Not sure if provoke/revenge are needed for the kill to count, however.

The General's Shadow : Any form of reflect/poison damage will hit Bouncer, but he will end up at 0 hp without dying. Provoke, Reflect and Revenge do not work, throwing Bolas does. After he dies, there will be a "cutscene" where you distract Bouncer and kill him with a hit of 200 (?), but no xp is gained.

Desert Slayer Dungeon : Anything can be recoiled/reflected/BN'd. In order to damage the Kurask and Turoth, you must however wield something that can damage them. I wielded an abyssal wand and put slayer dart on autocast without having the runes to actually cast it.

Dimension of Disaster: Curse of Arrav : No xp gained.

The first enemies you may have to fight are armoured zombies, to get their mist. TFK works fine for this.

You will fight Sharathteerk as Arrav. Killing him normally gives XP! However, Arrav is wielding a shield, so the strategy is as follows. At the start of the fight, provoke Sharathteerk and hide behind a pillar, using defensive abilities to stack up adrenaline. Repeat until you have at least 50% adrenaline. Then, use reflect to damage Sharathteerk and use resonance to heal. It will take a while, especially since you will need to resonance quite a bit to keep your health up, but it works.

You will fight Zemouregal as Arrav as well. Unlike the previous fight, Zemouregal does not give xp when killed. Note that perhaps the armoured zombies and exploding cows give xp - I simply never attacked any of them.

Piece of Hate: DANGEROUS BUT POSSIBLE.

There are three fight sequences in this quest. Read ahead to prevent gaining xp, it can be *very* tricky.

The first fight is with Zogoth. Just like with Agoroth, you have to "kill" 4 tentacles. Be VERY CAREFUL here. One basic attack should hit 200 on a tentacle, making it go away. However, you can easily hit it a second time causing it to actually die and give ~3 xp. Therefore: do one basic attack and click away immediately. Do not use abilities (especially not DOT).

Once the four tentacles are gone, fight Zogoth normally. His special attacks do damage based on your life points, so you can easily tank these with some good armour. He will spawn crassians and these give xp - simply ignore them and focus zogoth. He will not give xp when dead.

The second fight is the defense of Mos Le'Harmless. None of the monsters here give xp when killed, so fight normally. (Protip: only kill captains and barrelchests, ignore the grunts).

The third fight is Rabid Jack. He has 35k lp and you have to kill him 4 times. You can fight him normally as he will not give xp, but the fight has a special "insanity" mechanic. In particular, he can spawn clones with 1k lp that give xp when killed! IGNORE THESE CLONES, or even better, drink the 'rum' often enough so that he never even spawns them. (Protip: there's a kitten outside the temple, which you can't see on the minimap, who can turn off some of the effects in the fight. This can help a lot).

This one could definitely use more testing, but I did manage with no xp (or <1xp at least).

Curse of the Black Stone
: There are 4 combat sections in this quest: Goshima and the three Elite Dungeons.

Goshima : You need to kill a bunch of Crassians. Recoil, blood necklace, poison, etc, use it all. It may be necessary to provoke or revenge some of them. Also note that the area is instanced and you have to kill all of them in one go, so take plenty of supplies.

For the three Elite Dungeons, the general strategy is to join a group with 1/2 other players (in story mode), have them clear out everything except the final boss and then join in.

Temple of Aminishi : This is probably the hardest of the three boss fights, since it's hard to get a kill to really count. Basically, to really defeat Seiryu, you must kill the black stone crystals on the necklace. The fight goes in two repeating phases, which I'll call the Seiryu phase (where you fight Seiryu) and the Crystal phase (where you damage the crystals). To be awarded the kill, you must have damaged (I think?) Seiryu in the final Seiryu phase.

My strategy was as follows: the entire fight, stay as far away from Seiryu as possible. If you're at the very end, you'll only have to move left and right when a black hole spawns under you. Nothing else can reach or damage you. When you're at the final Seiryu phase, hit Seiryu for minimal damage (for example with Air Strike with magic lowered to 1), and run back to the safe spot. Once the final Crystal phase has started, you can jump to the necklace and help out (the crystals don't give xp). When the final crystal dies, you should get the kill but no combat xp.

The Dragonkin Laboratory : This one is much easier. Damage the Black Stone Dragon once and have someone else DTD it.

The Shadow Reef : Same as Dragonkin Laboratory.

Back To My Roots
: Since a ninja update, the jade vine (both during and after quest) is poison, reflect and dtd immune. However, there is one way to get the kill without xp: Armour Spikes. These don't actually count as reflect damage, and while normally they give xp, they do not in this fight as long as you DO NOT TAG the jade vine.

Basically, you want to wear a hatchet, shield, melee armour body and legs, and armour spikes. Just stand right in front of the vine and let it hit you, but do not tag it in return. It'll rather quickly kill itself.

Hopespear's Will (miniquest)
: Easy but insanely tedious. However, unlike the quest, killing the priests will give you xp ! You have to kill the priests with nothing equipped, and they are poison immune. Basically, you can only use Confuse/Weaken/Curse spells, Deflect prayers, Vengeance spell. And of course food and potions in your inventory.

To get the drop, you must tag the priests, either by hitting a 0 with your fists or casting a spell on them; and then getting them to 0 hp using deflect prayers & vengeance. Stronger priests will use multiple combat styles and will switch to what you're not praying against, so you have to switch prayers aswell. I would also recommend lowering defence to make the priests hit more often. Use guthix rest instead of sara brew to heal without raising defence.

The final priest, Strongbones, is a massive pain. For some reason, he only rarely attacks, and will actually go out of combat (and hence reset hp) if left alone. Thus, you have to continuously cast confuse/weaken/curse spells on him. This means you can't use vengeance, and you have to prayer switch between deflect magic and deflect melee for 1300 lp. Take enough runes (1000-2000 casts), plenty of prayer restore potions and food.

Also, be very careful never to stop casting spells. Not only can this make him reset to full hp, you may also end up punching him instead, forcing you to restart the fight or to gain xp...
