I appreciate how much you care about people to make this guide..I absolutely despise scammers of any kind..I tried it once but I didn't like it so i gave the items back, and not only that when i was a newb i got scammed a lot.

Yes, you can offer 5k the first time and get it doubled. The thing is, some scammers take any amount now. I've tested 500gp with 100 doublers. About 10 of them took the 500gp and run. So still, it's not the best idea to get your money doubled away. 5k is quite a bit too.
