All about the Fake drop party Scam
Yes, you constantly see people saying, "Dropping 5m!" And whatnot. Please be aware, not all of this is legit.
This scam just happens around Runescape every once in a while.
This is done by the scammer advertising a drop party. The scammer will usually drop an item valued less than 5k every 10 minutes. At the hour, or other time, he/she may drop something of more value. Like 1m cash. Along the way, he/she may encourage people to drop their own items, to join in the fun. Usually, items will start low, and then get higher. after being involved in many of these so-called drop parties, I've noticed that the scammer will usually start asking for the higher priced items when many people follow. Constant bank stops occur.
Is this profitable: No, usually the scammer will also have "friends" or autoclicking bots that click on any items dropped. Therefore, the percentage of getting something of value is low. Most items dropped by users are low, but occassionally, a user feels too comfortable and drops items of more value.
To avoid this scam, only use the party room in Falador, where you can get prizes from popping the balloons in a legitimate way.
Is the scammer reportable when doing this scam: Yes, but you have to follow for hours before knowing if the user is truthful and actually fairly drops items/cash or if they just made people drop items.

Post 12. All about the Gem cutting Scam

Rarity: Uncommon. This scam is not commonly found anymore, as prices of gems have dropped. Although, if this scam were to be found, it would be at the G.E.

The General Overview: This scam works by getting you to trade your gems to get cut by another user. The thing is, you won't get your gems back again.

Even if someone says that they are just cutting for the xp, you might not want to risk it. Use the assist system instead if you really need to cut those gems, or even better, use the Grand Exchange for a no-scam guarantee.

This scam is automatically reportable.

All about the Chicken Scam
Yes, the title is very quirky.
How it works: The scammer will ask you to pick a spot around him/her.
Diagram:
x= Where you can stand
o= Scammer

xox

After picking a spot, they will bring down a chicken. However, the chicken usually does not land within the square around the scammer. In fact, it can land anywhere close-by within screen view.
Is this reportable: ?
I was not able to obtain this information.

All about Team Scamming

Just like the title sounds, this scam is achieved by working as a team. This really isn't a scam itself, but incorporates the foundation of many other scams. Like the trust game, or doubling money scam.
Team Scamming is used just about everywhere where there is a scam.
These scams may or may not be reportable though and are hard to catch, as the scammer may be acting as an innocent customer of the host of a scam.
Scenarios can range from price wars, to

All about the Alt-F4 Scam

This scam is basically extinct from the game now.
Although, if you ever hear someone saying drop your items and press Alt-F4 to win a prize by a glitch, don't do it. It'll log you out and close the window. While you are logged out, the scammer will wait those few minutes until they can see your item and retrieve it.
This scam is also hardly reported because victims do not know the username of who scammed them.
This scam is reportable however in the Scamming tab of the report abuse button.
Some different variations and telltale signs that use of this scam may be happening include: "Drop your items and press Alt-F4 to double it." or "Drop your item and press Alt-F4 and a random event will happen." etc.
What all of these have in common is the phrase "Drop your items." no matter what, never drop your items. There is currently absolutely no way that dropping your wealth can get it doubled or manipulated in any way so that it increases.

All about the Common Phrase of: "Trade me your item for a minute, I'll give it back"
Only place not found: Quick Chat Worlds. Or people with their Public Turned OFF.

Don't trade your item to another user. It's probably a scam. Instead, lend the item you wish to have another user have.
