Nice guide
Profiled for copy/pasting...
Will also add some info about Linux later, when I'll collect everithing in one place.

As promised, here is info about Linux:
1) The international layout does exist here too:
• if using command line tools, or editing 'xorg.conf' – use 'intl' variant for 'us' layout;
• if using GUI – select 'USA - International (with dead keys)'.
2) It is possible to make your own keyboard layout in Linux.
There are several ways for it. Using 'xmodmap' is probably the simplest.
In that custom layout you may put the symbols that you want to type inside the game.
3) Unicode codes of different symbols:
There are several character map programs for Linux.
One that comes with GNOME (and, therefore, in Ubuntu) is 'gucharmap'.
Open it, copy-paste the needed symbol into the search field in it, and you'll get all the info about the character (including it's unicode value).
