Anyway - seeing how you are checking up on joining and all - welcome.
The events list has laid in limbo for a number of weeks... we have a fair number of members in Vanyar but mostly each to his own thing recently, with game changes and all, and I have been trying to think up a good way to kick back into gear regarding events and clan identity and such.
(This comment is both to you and the clan members in general.)
What I *hope* to put forward - perhaps even today - is a tweak to the 5-hourly event rotation where there are three or four selected "events" recommended for a given day or so, so one event is like "skilling" for a bit together then playing a game, another could be making a team within the "star find" chat to hunt down a desert star together. A third event would be "clue scroll" hunting + solving - this sort of event *could* be posted in the Clue Scroll forum as an "open" event and doing this might help build the member base of Vanyar a bit so more events are attended more.
High on the list of "events we need as a clan" is a way to get our higher combat / skilled members to involve mid-range players (like me - just 112 combat) in teaming the God War bosses, not to mention all the big targets - KBD, KQ, CE etc.
As current clan leader - what *I* need is some help in these forum threads (collecting member list names + updating, regular bumps!!, posting invitations to Vanyar to players who ask for a clan in recruit forum, replying and accepting member applications etc.) - I spend more of my time checking this thread and bumping it than I do planning the event list, which is why we are in limbo somewhat.
A handful of or clan members go way, way back - there is a "good old days" of Vanyar, which I joined towards the end of. Without active council - and council should have a "Chair!" person I think! - I can only do what I can. It *can* work.
