As our Clan grows it has become extremely important that Management is on the same page. A set of Guidelines that are clear and coherent. Criteria that all Leaders must use when determining which Clan-mates are eligible for a Rank Promotion.
All promotions must be posted on the Clan Forum with a very specific explanation as to why the Clan-mate earned such a promotion. Then we all will know who gave the promotion and how the promotion was earned.
(For Instance: Congratulations <Insert Clan-mate Name> on your new Promotion. I must commend you on your participation in Clan Chat, Clan Events, Citadel Work and how helpful you have been to our clan. Your hard work has not gone un-noticed keep up the good work.)
The above isn’t a template; its just an example of what kind of clear explanation that I am looking for.

It’s very simple…
*-*Guidelines/Criteria for Promotions*-*
1.) Participation in Clan Events
- Attending Events
- Leading Events
2.) Participation in Clan Citadel
- Visiting
- Collecting
3.) Participation in Clan Chat
- Keeping Chat moving/entertaining
- Answering questions and generally being helpful
- Being Respectful to all Clan-mates (Avoiding the Topics we DON’T DISCUSS in Clan Chat)
4.) Participation in Clan Forum
- Bumping our Forum
- Reading our Forum (I post all need to know information on our forum. When holding Clan Votes, making a change to function of clan, discussing updates, posting reminders, etc…)
- Posting useful Information (event log, a quick guide, vacations/absentee notice, etc…)
- Accepting/Denying Potentials Applications
5.) Being Helpful to Clan
- Explaining a quest
- Sharing a Game Tactic
- Blessing a Grave (If the clan-mate goes completely out of their way to bless a grave. Like having to log out and get to the dead clan-mates grave to bless. If your at an event and a person dies while you are there its expected that you would bless already.)
- Answering Questions
- Lending Items
6.) Recruiting!! -there is a Proper Protocol for Recruiting on 2nd Page, Post 3 and Post 4 of our Clan forum
- not just getting potentials interested in the clan, but walking the potential through the process. From submitting a Forum Application, to having them enter the Clan Citadel.

I EXPECT:
1.) Maturity--Responsible
2.) Leadership Qualities
3.) Ability to Problem Solve
4.) Ability to Defuse situations
5.) Someone who doesn’t pick sides in an argument
6.) Someone who isn’t easily manipulated
7.) Someone who is ONLINE in GAME OFTEN
8.) Participation in Clan Events, Clan Chat, Clan Citadel, Clan Forum, etc…
Edit:
Star Ranks and Up I think of as Management, and of course Leaders. People are promoted into those “Management Ranks” to help Lead the Clan.
As Clan Grows it becomes harder and harder to manage alone. It’s a big job for one person.
It is extremely important to have the right people in the right positions. Leaders/Management MUST LEAD by example.
If for some reason those management ranks become absent All Star Ranks (From Bronze Stars and Up) are expected to pick up the slack. They have more responsibilities’ and are expected to help run the clan.
