TO THE OWNER OF THIS CHAT:


Alright so I've guested in the chat from time to time on this account deciding whether or not I wanted to make an Ironman account. Today I finally had the free time in my quite busy and hectic schedule to actually make one. The account was named "Ok I Lagged", which was meant to be a satirical parody on the fact that Irons die to Jagex's (somewhat shady) server connections. When I joined the chat I was instantly berated and heckled and felt totally unwelcome. Based on the utter atrocious first impression I received on my new Iron account I don't think I'll be returning back for quite some time. The "Captains" of your chat did nothing to stop it, and some of them even joined in on the questioning (treating me like a criminal). If this is the first impression that you left with me, I can be rest assured other new members probably feel the same way. I'm just writing this to you in hopes that you realize that there is a major hierarchy problem in your chat and us "New Irons" are being made to feel totally alienated.

Also, I would just like to mention that in the heat of the moment I did mutter a few expletives, and I am sorry for that. But the way I was treated when first joining the chat was absolutely despicable and classless, and not how a Friends Chat should be properly run. My goal is to not post these comments in an ill mannered fashion but to point out the blunt truth about what went on, and hopefully help you fix a problem, that clearly seems prevalent.

I was aware that you had an ironman account, and have participated in the FC's chat before, nice to see you back.

I am also aware that you are in contact with a player, who was previously banned from the FC, I certainly hope that he has been behaving well.

Please note that if you wish to join the FC again in the future, take note that we only accept legitimate players: no bots, no trolls and no players previously banned.

I have no intention of joining the chat at all. The way you guys interrogated me and accused me of being someone I wasn't when I logged in and created the account, is disgusting. I won't name any names as I can only hope to assume that you are going to be as mature about things as I am. However as previously stated my above posts are for the owner of this chat, and regardless of you feel, I am addressing them, not you.

This however will be addressed to you, and as the mature individual I would like to believe you are. You may take this however you wish. I would hope in the future that if incidents such as this should arise, that you yourself chose to handle them differently. As a Captain of the chat you should surely know that your actions and how you communicate to others is contagious to others around you in the chat.

The only person(s) I have been in contact with outside of the chat is Dvlslettuce and Hecate 2, so if you are referring to them, then yes, you are correct. You can even confirm what I am saying is true, because in fact, when I first found out about this friends chat, Dvl's positive attitude was what made me stay.

Hi Primates,

I am going to explain to you (and to others) the background situation that I hope will explain what has happened.

Firstly, your account ‘OK I Lagged’, is extremely similar in name to the account of another player who sadly we had to ban from the chat. This other player even went as far as copying the content from this thread, to create a thread of his own to promote his own FC, claiming that this one was ‘dead’. (Of course, that thread was quickly removed by Fmods.)

At the time you came into FC, we had been experiencing visits from that other banned player on alt accounts, again being disruptive in the chat. Then at the same time you arrived, with your very similar name. Bearing in mind, what must otherwise be a very unlikely coincidence, I believe some of our ranks may have tried to ascertain your identity, and in this particular situation, I agree with them that it was reasonable for them to do so. I’m sure had the tables been turned, the ‘coincidence’ being as unlikely as it is, you may well have done the same. To be frank, the coincidence still leaves a lot of doubt in my mind, and in the minds of my team, but of course, we’d have no evidence either way, so you will be treated as any other player if you choose to return to the chat.

What I will say though, if what you claim is true, and you are indeed an innocent bystander in a very unfortunate coincidence, you have my whole-hearted apologies for the feeling of being interrogated you have experienced. I hope that you can now realise the reason why that has happened, and can understand the reasonable suspicions of our team. Should you choose to return to the chat, you will of course be treated as any other player there, subject to the same FC chat guidelines. AKA: Arbr**** Vie
Please also remove the filter from our siggies Jagex! :)
