Small post (hopefully :) ) regarding the Connect Four/ Four in a Row (Runelinks) Tournament taking place in the Games Room!


Games Room Location: North of Burthorpe lodestone and down the stairs.

PLEASE LET IVORY SHARK, APAZOS, OR ME (POMEGRANATES) KNOW THE RESULTS OF YOUR GAMES SO THAT WE CAN UPDATE THE THREAD AS THE GAMES ARE PLAYED/FINISHED, THANKS!

Also for anyone that would like to attend, Hecate 2 on Wednesday, January 13th, at 18:00 game time will be getting milestone 90 plus total level 1600! This is an amazing accomplishment so please try and come support a fellow FC member if you can! :)

I am afraid I cannot attend Hecate's 90 milestone or the first matches of the Tournament. I have a very busy week and if I do have the time to come online, I'll be AFK at Artisan's. I will still take part in the Tournament though! I am very excited for it and it's the perfect way to keep the FC active. So I will do the matches during the coming month :)

@Tree: Yeah I meant 11th January to be the 1st anniversary of this account, Kawaiiron :)

Really big thank you to both of you, Pomegranates and Ivory Shark, for organising the tournament and donating the prizes!

I think Jasmineneko's suggestion of a smiley in FC for the runners up, is an excellent one. I'll smiley them up for a month - the winner too of course. Best not make it permanent or there'll be moaning! lol

I hope to be at Hecate's milestone event too. I've put a note about it on the events post on page one along with the tournament one. Thanks for the heads up! AKA: Arbr**** Vie

IMPORTANT REVISIONS TO THE CONNECT FOUR/ FOUR IN A ROW (RUNELINKS) TOURNAMENT:


The tournament location is still the same as the Burthorpe games room is the only place Runelinks can be played. :)

Due to conflicting schedules and fellow players time zones, the original round robin style of tournament has been negated and we are going with a far better new and improved one!

The new tournament will be formatted in a "double elimination" style bracket. I will explain on that works here:

There will be what is called a "winners" bracket and a losers "bracket". For example: Player 1 and Player 2 play against each other, and Player 3 and Player 4 play against each other. Say Player 1 and Player 3 win they would move on to face each other. While Player 2 and Player 4 would face each other in the losers bracket.

This gives everyone a 50/50 chance of moving on or being defeated, if you lose your first game don't worry, you still have a second chance to prove yourself! :)

The eventual winners from the "winners bracket" and the "losers bracket" will face each other at the very end in a best of 3 series to see who is the ULTIMATE CONNECT FOUR CHAMPION!

Prizes, because who doesn't love Prizes!

The Prizes are as follows:


The two winners from the "winners" and "losers" bracket will each be awared a smiley face in the friends chat from Treemaid (thanks Treemaid!) This smiley will last for a month. :)

The two losers from the "semi-final" matchs will aslo be awarded a smiley face for the month. :)

The overall winner will also receive a bond! You can also choose what account you would like to receive this bond on.
