•¤†¤• Church History •¤†¤•
The Past and History are important, for only through studying and acknowledging it can we learn from it, improve from it, and therefore better from it. The history of the church is streaked with political battles, warfare and rebellions, but also of love, happy moments and golden days. I shall try and recount it as accurate as possible, and I hope everyone enjoys reading it.

•¤†¤• Chapter One: The Start of a Golden Age •¤†¤•
The Church was first created on the 30th of January 2006 by Hot Sch(t)uff5, I had joined a few days after its creation and though just a low level and new to the church I was received with a warm welcome. The Church back then was more laid back and everyone was friends, there was no fighting and everyone enjoyed their time in the Church.
A suggestion given to Hot from Myself (JJ) was to create a council that consisted of 10 people who assisted the Pope in leading the clan, they were called 'Elders'. The positions were mostly given out to the longest members in the church, but some friends of Hot such as Se(e)(s)homuru1 (Butters1994) and Mew336 were also given the position, this part of the church still continues strongly today with Long time Elders such as Myself, Asher 1 1 and Yankeelmb keeping traditions strong.
Seeshomuru1 who was Second in-command, Elder and a good friend of Hot decided he wanted more Power, signs were cropping up throughout the place but even when warned Hot refused the claims as true yet not everyone was on our side, Samual Dude, a good friend of Seesho assisted him in attempting to overthrow Hot in secret.
Through the help of Myself, Eaglegirl80, Flame Lord71 and others we were able to foil Seesho's plots, though now that Seesho's plots were revealed to all Hot was forced to act and removed Seesho from his position quickly, yet Samual Dude was still secretly under Seesho's Control.
Events were brewing, plots were revealing and control was being seized...

•¤†¤ Chapter Two: 'Ignorance and Inconsideration, Two great causes of the Ruin of Mankind' ¤†¤•
Hot had decided on a break to try and get away from all the trouble Seesho had caused, and had not informed anyone in particular, so it was a mystery to us all when Samual had told us. He claimed Hot had gone away for awhile and left Samual in charge, as Pope. Many of us did not trust Samual, but few stood up to him in Public.
I had decided that surely Hot would have publicly informed us all of this, so I stood up against Samual and continually declared him having lied, posting and informing members in game. Whilst I was the only one to publicly go out against him, Eaglegirl80 and Flame Lord71 assisted me in secret, ruining Samual's events and making 'strange events' happen.
Samual did little to stop us, and eventually Hot returned, furious that his own power had been seized, he declared that he had in fact Not told Samual he would be in charge, and quickly excommunicated him (that was the then term for kicking someone out of the clan, permanently). This however, didn't last long and Hot was known for falling for tricks from 'personal friends' and Samual spun him a lie stating he thought Hot had let him be in charge and was still 'faithful to Hot'.
Hot believed him and quickly un-excommunicated him and pretended like nothing had happened. He did not bother to thank those who had remained loyal to him, whilst the majority had not particularly cared, after all, it was 'just a leader', just another leader. If one thing had come out of the 'incident' it was that Hot was losing loyalty and respect, and in the world of the Church of Saradomin, those two things are more important than you'd think...

•¤†¤• Chapter Three: The Spiral of Depression •¤†¤•
The end of a golden age was approaching...The sound of the drums of sanity were diminishing...The end of Hot was upon us. Hot was steadily losing support, election after election his votes were reduced to dust and only one person shone through the darkness left, W0rk f0r m3.
Of course, things are not always as they seem and the stability of the church was crashing down around our feet. So naturally it was not long until we realised we were wrong about Work, he abused his power and bent the rules to his own end, the church became little more than conquered land, his empire to control as he wished.
Anyone who spoke out against him was quickly silenced and numerous members were put on trial, one of these was Lylylylyly, a relatively older member who Work had taken a dislike to. A group of us spoke out against this unjust trial and I decided to be Ly's defence, Work was shocked by the amount of us who had spoken out at once - a united force to be reckoned with. Our arguments against Work's unfair trial shattered his defence and Ly was allowed to remain in the church, however this was just the beginning of our many victories.
Hot returned as quickly as he had disappeared, though he was little more than an unfavoured past Pope and Creator of the church, he demanded that he was allowed to choose the position of second in-command and fearing the chaos Hot may be able to ensue for him, Work complied. However, Hot did indeed ensue chaos through his choice of the person to fill the position, Tkd 11 14 02, who would later go on to become a partial foe of the church and it's leadership on countless occasions.
Members of the church were in outrage, how could Tkd, who had never been heard of in the history of the church suddenly become the second most powerful person in the church? Things were more sinister than we originally thought and for one person their time was running out.

•¤†¤• Chapter Four: The shadows that whisper within the night •¤†¤•
When people use the expression 'right under your nose', they really mean it. Unknown to Work Tkd, on instruction by Hot, was planning a coup to overthrow the well believed dictator of the church, Work. Using the council which was originally created for the use of good, Tkd planned to have it use it's influence and power over the church to hold a vote to take down Work and take control of the church. Most members of the council were informed of this plot and the majority seemed to agree that it was the best possible move, though some were unsure on this abrupt and forceful move.
Little did I know that when I woke up the church would be completely different, Tkd and Hots coup had succeeded in overthrowing Work's government using the council which was diminished to no more than an army. This was an iconic move in the churches history that would later give the chance to shape the life and stability of the church for over three years to come and to this day it's effect can be still seen in every action of it's life. I had not realised that Samual Dude, who had earlier been Seesho's puppet, had a part in their coup against Work and when I went to find the churches thread in the morning of the aftermath of the rebellion I would find but a thread made by Samual himself.
I did not know what to think, but through the help of several members who had already been informed on what had occurred I quickly gathered myself and found out that Samual had named himself Pope with Hots 'blessing'. To me and other older members who were well accustomed to Samual's history, we believed this not enough and history of the church dictated that should a Pope cease his or her reign of the church that an election to choose the next Pope should occur.
So here it came, at the crossroad of destinies, a vote that would decide the future over the church. A choice for every member to take, friend or foe?

•¤†¤• Chapter Five: The Crossroad of Destinies •¤†¤•
I would state that this was the shortest election the Church had ever held for any rank, let alone for the prestigious position of Pope, and yet the resulted effect has lasted longer than any other action has spurred on, even to this day, this monumental moment continues to shape the future of the Church. Not only was the election for Pope controversial, but also confusing.
The only ever elections to have been held for the position was held by the Pope that had held the title at the time, and since the Pope had just been forcefully overthrown by a coup orchestrated by many high-ranking individuals, we were unsure on who should hold the election. As the only elder on at the time, I was chosen to hold the election.
There were few candidates for the election, notably, Samual Dude (Who had already just self-proclaimed himself Pope without an election), J J762 (myself) and Bismark789 (a new member who had recently joined). Ironically, despite Samual having proclaimed himself Pope, he still received no votes at all, expressing controversy to his decision.
Many older members who had experience in the clan showed their support for myself, and I received countless votes, however Bismark had surprisingly gained the support of an influential and old Elder, Mew366, who was one of the first Elders aswell as myself.
Mew arranged for many people outside of the Church to pledge their support for Bismark, and all attempted to place a vote. All of these votes were discounted, as the rules of the Elections at the time stated that you must be a fully-fledged member of the Church to be legible for a vote.
This rule sparked controversy from Mew and Bismark, who accused the Election of being corrupt and the Elder Council of cheating. However, then Elder, Eaglegirl80 confirmed that the Election had been fair and legitimate, and so the Election was officially closed, with the winner announced.

•¤†¤• Chapter Six: The Dawn of a New Era •¤†¤•
For me, this event would go down as the turning point in my history within the Church, I had won the election and begun my first of many terms as Pope. For the next three and a half years of the Churches life up to this day, members could state that I dominated political life within the Church, winning the next four elections for the position of Pope, holding four terms in office and gaining the title of being the longest serving and most frequent Pope. Unfortunately, this would gain me as many enemies as friends throughout the rest of the Church's life, and some would take this to a personal level, as this period of history is about to show. This resulted in it becoming one of the most busiest and politically active in our history.
After the confusing and perhaps controversial election, I set my goal to restoring the peace and community that had been lost in Work's term as Pope. I quickly filled important and vacant positions that had been caused by Work's reign and the election after, including the position of second in-command, which was granted to Bismark who had been proven popular in the election and was to be given a chance to prove himself. This period also witnessed the welcoming of another iconic member, Asher 1 1, who would become a second hand, loyal friend and famous Elder, aswell as other members such as Solder, Eagle and Flame who would remain active within this period.
However, not everyone supported this new change in leadership and well known trouble makers seized this opportunity of shifting loyalties in an attempt to ensue further chaos. Unfortunately for them, a year of political battles, revolts and plots had honed my skills, and I was not about to give in quickly...

•¤†¤• Chapter Seven: Shaping the Future •¤†¤•
Although I had been an influential member and Elder for the Church in it's first year, I must confess I never expected achieving anything on the scale of becoming Pope, especially not for most of the next four years. But at the start of my career as Pope, little could I foresee the event's that would shape the Church's future, leading me to hold the belief today that every action has a consequence however insignificant, and every moment is constantly shaping our own future, and the future of those around us.
It was hoped that with Bismark, who came second place in the election, now as second-in-command it would satisfy his supporter's as well, in an attempt to unify the groups that had been created following Work's reign and the tense election after. I must admit, now, that I value that as a mistake, certainly, popularity must surely not be a degree of how worthy someone is to such a high position, and although he possessed the relevant qualities suited to leadership, the reasons for such being explained later, he was still incredibly new, and at first look blatantly lacked any experience in the Church.
Awhile later, who was to show up but Hot, the founder and first Pope, who revealed his curiosity about rejoining the clan, however making it clear that he would only return under the assurance of a high ranked position. I feel now that I let my friendship with Hot, to a degree, blind me, as I rushed to welcome back my former friend, offering him the rank of Elder. It of course could be said that his previous position and vast experience as Pope did make him suitable.
However, was Hot's return a simple co-incidental timing, what were the motives of his sudden return and did he have covert intentions? In the hands of a madman coincidences can go a long way to solving the truth.

•¤†¤• Chapter Eight: The Big Question •¤†¤•
Hot's possible return not only excited me, but several other members, even those who had not been around during his term as Pope. One member who seemed over-enthusiastic over Hot's return was Bismark, newly appointed second-in-command following his popularity in the election for Pope, and quickly rallied to move members to his cause; that of Hot's.
But they needn't have done such, had Hot chosen to accept the position of Elder offered by myself. Unfortunately, he didn't, claiming it to be 'not enough', accepting nothing less than the position of Pope itself. Naturally, this caused tension between the newly gathered supporters of Hot, and the supporters of myself, newly conferred and elected Pope.
As tempted as I was to confer on Hot, Sovereign of the Church's Golden Age, the title of Pope, and return to the Age of community, friendship and simplicity that I still yearn a return to even today, I was more than suspicious. Indeed I had considered Hot an icon, a mentor, and great friend, and still had at the time, but I was still reluctant to simply grant him a position I had recently been elected to, and many other members, including several Elders, did not hesitate to express caution and consideration to any such decision.
In the end, I refused Hot's terms for rejoining. I refused a possible chance to return to that Age of Kings. I refused to accept an event that would have drastically changed the future of the Church to the point that the Church today would not be the same, if alive at all. For better or worse, I refused.
Do I know today whether I had just made possibly the worst mistake for the Church's future, no I don't. Up to this day that decision, and that very question, continues to plague my mind. I don't know whether I doomed the Church to live a lie for the next four years, or whether I ensured its survival and prosperity, and the friendships of members between one another for years to come.
