On a different note, we (the clan leadership) have been working on an update set of rules. The current draft we have is below. We'd love your feedback on what is written!
---
1.
Chat Moderators will keep the peace of the clan chat.
They have the authority of the Clan Leadership in all chat-related matters. You may be formally warned first, but do not abuse this privilege – rule breaking WILL be punished in all scenarios. If you have any questions or concerns about the actions of a Chat Moderator, speak to the moderator or a leader in private.
2.
Respect other clan members and guests; do not be rude, harass, maliciously troll, or flame them. Be welcoming to new members.
Everyone has their opinions and they may differ from your own. Should an issue arise the discussion will be moved outside of the clan chat. Debates are fine as long as they follow the rules and are not excessively repetitive. Basically, don’t be a jerk.
3.
Do not engage in activities that seriously disrupt the clan chat or discussion.
This includes but is not limited to: excessive roleplaying, flame wars, general spam, excessively controversial topics, and disrespect to others. A good rule of thumb is that if someone complains about it, and has good reason to (as judged by a Chat Mod or Administrator), it will stop. Don't bait others to break the rules either - this is also not acceptable.
4.
Do not maliciously reveal plot spoilers.
For significant updates (such as quests), the clan chat may be muted to prevent spoilers for a 24 hour period, or longer if the clan leaders see fit. Update discussion during these times will be moved to one of various friends chats. The Clan leader’s friends chat is always open for discussion unless otherwise stated.
