Are you interested in the lore and/or future updates to Runescape?
When I play a game, I am not that interested in gameplay, as long as the game is playable. I consider a game an interactive book, with it's own twists and turns, and underlying thoughts. Runescape is so far one of my favourite games, due to it's unique nature, for example the gods themselves, that most of them have a mortal past, perhaps once had a family, once feared death, and some still do. Or my personal favourites, the Dragonkin, with all the hints about a once interesting society. This is what I play games for.

What is one of your favourite storylines/quest series/areas of lore in the game? Elaborate.
As mentioned, I have a soft spot for the Dragonkin. It has been mentioned that Strisath was once an outstanding philosopher. What in the curse drove him to submit to the rage, when Kerapac clearly has lasted for so long? What was their society like? And do they have goals beyond trying to get rid of the curse and get even with Jas? (Among other questions)

What updates are you most looking forward to in the game?
Currently, I am greatly looking forward to what Sliske plans to do next, or how Zaros intend to wake up the Elder gods (Letting Tuska ram into Gielinor full-speed would be one way, but hardly give him time to finish the rest of his plans). Before that, though, I am excited about what we will find in "Hero's welcome".

Argh, I wish I could take credit for that! That one was Cinder Quill's actually, and mine was the Broken Home sequel, haha.

Anyway, hi there Yoxl and Tsukikage2! Thank you for applying to the Scrying Pool, and I'm pleased to let you know that that you've both been accepted! Really lovely applications the both of you and I hope to talk to you both soon!

Are you interested in the lore and/or future updates to Runescape?
Yes of course! It's the only reason I keep coming back to Runescape after all the weird combat updates.

What is one of your favourite storylines/quest series/areas of lore in the game? Elaborate.
My favorite quest series would definitely have to be the cave goblin quests because I loved Zanik role in the whole thing and bandos was the best god around at the time.

What updates are you most looking forward to in the game?
I'm most looking forward to the return of the Fremennik hero because it will open even more lore about the fremennik people and it will shed more light on the hero himself.

Are you interested in the lore and/or future updates to Runescape?

Of course! The lore is the backbone of the game and is what makes it different from being a generic MMO. Some future updates look really interesting and hopefully with runelabs and new feedback measures in place, future updates will be better than ever.

What is one of your favourite storylines/quest series/areas of lore in the game? Elaborate.

Going to go with the cave goblins. It was the first real time we put in a situation where humans, who are normally the nice guys being threatened by dangerous creatures, were in the wrong. This twist with the goblins as the victims was nice as it brought a moral questioning to the story. It executed the themes of tolerance and destiny vs free will well. All the H.A.M jokes stopped it from becoming too dark too.

It also gave a big role to Bandos, who was a villain with a smart plan and motives. He went far beyond some of the previous villains being a god and posing a significant threat to the world. The series was also full of great characters like Zanik who you saw develop over time and tied in well to the rest of the game.

The Chosen Commander also made for arguably the most satisfying and for-filling finale we have seen.

Honourable mention for the centaur series, which I can't really judge as it only stands at one quest at the moment. However I loved Death of Chivalry, with its exploration of the moral ambiguity of Saradomin, the history of the centaur race and the costs of war. It also put Sir Owen as the signature hero I most want to see in future content, which is impressive considering he has only one quest. Also it was the best god quest to explain why I was helping. Hopefully it will be able to keep the standard and Mod Stu will be involved in sequels.

Mostly other worlds seem very exciting to me. The universe has been built up as a vast and diverse place, with many races of Gielinor now being forged in these places. It will be interesting to see what these areas are like. Plus once we have visited once, it makes the potential for future updates there much more likely. Who knows? Within a few years, maybe all the best bosses and skilling locations may not even be in Gielinor.

Also of course any new quests. There are a number of stories in play that would be great to see followed up and expanded on - the younger gods, gnomes, floor 61 etc. Plus what really is exciting is that one great new quest could unlock a whole load of potential. Before Death of Chivalry, I hardly thought of the centaurs but now am extremely invested in their story and their future.

It would be great to tackle some areas that have sparse knowledge about them too. Some details on Saradomin's past and Armadyl (literally any would be good) would be nice.

For other updates, Invention sounds promising though I preferred it as a skill and skill reworks which will hopefully be soon.

1. Yes.
2. Perhaps one of my favourite quest lines would be the Zaros quest line. Probably because of Zaros being an enigma, and the gifts that comes with it. It is also because of Zaros' beliefs that I enjoyed the quest line, even if it did require the may grandmasters that preceded it.

Also, I appreciated the way the mahjarrat quest series played out, especially in ROTM and While Guthix Sleeps. Probably one of the few quests that actually got me motivated to get revenge and hyped my emotions (of revenge towards Lucien).

3. I am looking forward to the elder gods quest line, given how the gods have already started to unwittingly awaken them, as well as how the player would deal with their magic.

Are you interested in the lore and/or future updates to Runescape?

Yes. I have been with the lore community since the future game updates days. Those times, when we were anticipating the development of the gods. I was an influencial theorist for the gods Zamorak and Saradomin, with the intention of exploring in detail the nuances of their ideologies and characters. This led me to become interested in rs lore, and I am now beginning to explore the intricacies of the more obscure 5th age history.

Along with the 6th age gods questline, I have recently developed an interest in the Kandarin questlines, including the Gnome and Elf storylines. I find this a fascinating area of runescape lore because of how several questlines all interact with each other, giving the area a real feel of conflict and historical depth. An example of this would be how the mahjarret story impacts the Gnomes and how we can see the resulting warfare.

What updates are you most looking forward to in the game?

Quest and lore updates. None of all the cheesey stuff that comes out these days.

Favourite quest line is definitely the Myreque story line! It is easily the darkest storyline in the game, which is a feature I love! The potential to turn your character into a murderer (killing the prisoners in BoD) was probably the toughest choice I found in any quest.

Additionally, I found that these quests bought back the feeling of adventure into the game for me. Unlocking new cities as the quest line progressed was really quite exciting!

Finally, I think that this quest line is one of, if not the most well written stories in the game. Every character is explored and there is sufficient mystery to keep me excited for the next instalment!

What updates are you most looking forward to in the game?

New Myreque quest for reasons stated above! Hopefully Mod Ana will have a lot of input!

Otherwise, any new quest! Specifically the Seren quest which is on the horizon!
