Are you interested in the lore and/or future updates to Runescape?
Of course. I wouldn't
t be applying otherwise.
What is one of your favourite storylines/quest series/areas of lore in the game? Elaborate.
While Guthix Sleeps and Ritual of the Mahjarrat are two of the most interesting stories I've ever come across because they tie up so many questlines within—they are both great examples of how writing should be used and even executed in video games.
More recently, player choices have offered a greater impact on the storyline, and Jagex seems to be using it in a way that I have never quite seen before. I am fascinated to see where it all goes.
What updates are you most looking forward to in the game?
Truthfully? The last quest, if there ever is one. Every great story needs an ending, and RuneScape is no exception to that rule. I do not want this game to go out of business while leaving all of our lore-related questions unanswered and unsatisfied. I believe that content like the Arc is a great way to continue telling stories that are not quests in and of themselves, and that Jagex should focus on content like it so they can finish all the storylines that are currently up in the air.
Should you accept my application, I would like to talk to Amascut in private before joining—there are a few questions I need to ask before confirming if this clan is right for me.

I wouldn't be applying to join a lore clan if I wasn't.

The World Wakes, the one that kickstarted the lore community (I don't think we'd even exist if it hadn't been for TWW, prior to 2013, lorehounds were almost non-existent, then TWW comes out, and suddenly there's a surge in the interest of lore, suddenly Jmods were doing lore Q&As, they were revealing their future plans, the storyline was so good, a couple of players got hooked, and we eventually became big enough to get our own forum).
And then there was the story itself, and that massive bombshell they dropped on Guthix. I'll never be able to listen to Memories of Guthix shedding a tear on the inside. Who knew he had such a tragic backstory, where he had to become the one thing he hated the most. Very tragic.
Missing Presumed Death, it was a simple quest, yet it had so much lore, I'd always said it was like being in a candy store for lorehounds. Plus hat voice acting was great, Armadyl's voice is still my favourite (out of all the gods in the council), even though he has the least screentime.

Heart of Stone (unpopular opinion I know), that quest kickstarted the Elder gods series, and it really amped up the stakes, the Preshistoric Abyssal said they were stirring in their sleep, we don't have that much time left. Zaros, Seren or some other god better find a way to stop them or else we're toast. This is always overlooked, but Heart of Stone hinted there could be six Elder gods, which was confirmed in Within the Light (in HoS, you went around Gielinor talking to the mouthpieces of the Elders, there was an unfinished mouthpiece in Lumbridge you couldn't speak to).
Plus, my favourite NPC, Ariane was in it.

Something that tells us what exactly Xau Tak is.

@Dew: As you are on our ban list, we'll be needing a lot more information about what your old usernames were and such before any application will be processed.
@Percy: You know why we're denying this. It's been discussed, but noting here for posterity.

My answer hasn't changed since I last posted, but the final two quests of the Elf series really impressed me; their gameplay reminded me of older quests', but it also put a Sixth Age spin on everything–ultimately, I think the timing couldn't have been better, and the quality of their rewards (Prif is amazing!) seems to agree.

Now that I've caught up on what quests I missed, I'd have to change my answer to Sliske's Endgame. I think he's a great character, but we still don't know a lot about his situation or his plans. Needless to say, I am eager to find out.

-I'm obsessed with it, to the point where I've lurked in the clan chat for nearly 4 months now.

-Tzhaar series is my favorite. Characters are extremely well-written, Tzhaar race intriguing and slightly terrifying.

-Sliske's Endgame sounds awesome.
