Map Dimensions
• 1 gridsquare is equal to an area of 100sqkm,
• 1 gridline is equal to 10 kilometres.
Speeds :: Land
• Wilderness terrain
- ground units move 4km/hr.
- mounted units 3km/hr.
• Roads
- ground units 5km/hr
- mounted units 8km/hr
Speeds :: Naval
• Ocean, under normal conditions
- naval speed 7km/hr
• Rivers
- naval speed of 5km/hr
Standard Equivalents & Comparisons
• 1 settler unit, or 5,000 citizens, is equal to 5 clan members.
• 1 default-sized army, or 500 combatants, is equal to 5 clan members.
Settlements & Capitals
• 1 settlement may be established for every 5 active clan members, if you have a settler unit.
• A nation's first settlement will act as that nation's capital.
Annexing, Claiming & Surveying
• A nation may claim up to four territories and survey up to eight a day.
• You must have a unit in the vicinity in order to survey or claim a region.
Naming
• Regions, including settlements, may be named, but must not be offensive, derogatory or ridiculous in manner; they will not be considered.
• Since our world setting and timeline takes place in the second age, before the rise of empires; names may not resemble those of a different age, such as: Varrock, Falador; Misthalin, Asgarnia; these settlements did not exist during that time.
• Settlements that have not been given a name will be referred to as the coordinate gridsquare that it lies on. (e.g. Settlement 11,21, 1,12)
• Remember, be creative. Innovation and creativity is welcome and encouraged. We find ourselves at the end of our amusements.
