Questions and Answers
It is made apparent in the beginning introduction that the general lore of the community is based in the second age, a vastly different time in Gielinor politics, culture, religion, and geography. How do you reconcile this with canon-based roleplayers and clans?
I see this concept of the second age as a sort of innovative roleplayer's blank canvas, so to speak. This was a time during which many civilizations were only just beginning to sprout and establish themselves in permanent locations, rather than continuing to roam Gielinor. During this age, Guthix was in his slumber and many of the gods were slowly beginning to arrive on Gielinor. Now, this offers us a unique opportunity to say, "Hey, is it not possible for civilizations and cultures, religions and lesser known deities to have once existed, but are now forgotten and or lost to antiquity?" Of course, It's possible, and very likely. This is exactly the premise we are using. So going back to the "blank canvas" concept; roleplaying during the second age is essentially offering us the chance to write our own history, our own storyline, and recreate a world that is our own--where it can actually be justified--rather than be restricted to a fifth or sixth age canon that has roleplaying creativity limitations.
We find ourselves at the end of our amusements.
