A Winter Holidays Letter to R Quark from the Desk of the Motherland:

Greetings from the Motherland everyone.

I spoke with 'trips' today regarding a restoration of friendly relations between the the Motherland and R Quark. The reason is simple: old woes over saltiness and raucous dialogue sparked by one unfortunate outcome of a rank who was deranked and reinstated should not be a permanent source of strife and tension. The recent past has shown that peace and harmony is possible. That getting along is possible. Since I have no intention of getting involved in chatroom politics in the future, I wouldn't revisit the controversy surrounding the said rank, especially as I'm done with large-scale merching. The recognized names below are as I'm sure just a small sample of the good people who trade rares and who sometimes have in the past unjustly born the stain of the few acting irresponsibly.

For some of us, it has been a rough year, both on RS and in real life. Why not end it on a happy note with Christmas coming later this week and 2016 just days away?

Hi Motherland.

I've spoken to Trips about your appeal, and I'm personally happy to support you being given another chance as long as majority of the other admins agree. If you are given another chance though, please don't ruin it by biting to any childish comments from other players that may want to ruin your chance. If there's an issue, especially with a rank, puush it and send it to me via pm, and they will be dealt with.

Motherland,

It seems as though you have moved on from "fc politics" as you've put it and are interested in using the fc again. Your most recent post displayed that you have moved on from the things/issues that had you added to kos originally. I know you'll probably have complaints or suggestions for the fc, so if you do, try to take a more rational method. Pming a general would be enough to make your thoughts known in a more positive way. :)

I know since I'm accepting your appeal there may be some members of the community who will continue to flame you in hopes of getting you banned again. Try not to respond in a way that would make us change our minds on the decision but feel free to let any general (with proof) and action will be taken against these people.

This shouldn't affect you any differently because you've been in the fc for so long and haven't had any other issues come up.

Suggestion was brought to me to have a symbol that dictates when a range is x amount of days old.

To help compilers and general street traders using ^ in the posts could indicate if a range is at least 2 weeks old and ^^to indicate if it's at least a month old. This is a pretty good idea if people don't get picky about when it's exactly x days old. It can also easily be adopted by pcers who are running lines as the asterisk was in the past.
