Nice pic, bro. Continuing on, during your time as King a few controversies built up. You had to put down a "family rebellion" and a vocal minority of people opposed Bard the Kid being Prince. How did these controversies affect your reign?
I'll talk about Bard first, since it happened first. There were a decent amount of people who opposed Bard's royal status, but when Dianne and I took into consideration the advice he lent and the points of view he offered, we figured he was a great person to have on board--at least as good of a prince as anyone else could have been at the time. But when that vocal minority began to speak out, Dianne and I decided to act.
Through one of Dianne's informal social events (the thing you started which she turned into practically a meeting), she polled the audience as to whether they thought Bard should stay on as prince or resume his place as Recruitment Lord(?). Some people began to take this the wrong way, especially Dally who made a huge scene and stormed out, thinking we were trying to persuade everyone there to want him demoted. We honestly did want to just gauge everyone's opinions, but I don't blame Dally and the others who thought like him, since we did handle the situation rather poorly. Anywho, after we did receive the opinions of those there as well as those who posted on forums and such, and after seeing the aid Bard was able to give us, it was a rather easy decision to keep him on as royal.
Now, onto the family epidemic. Families had recently been revived and were actually thriving, competing with and even beginning to overtake the presence of the subclans. Seeing how the families were not "official" (members were not assigned special ranks) subclans but rather subgroups, Dianne and I figured that we should figure a way to cap the growth of the families to prevent decline in activity for the already dwindling subclans. Thus, we decided to cap the memberlists for families at 20 (or maybe it was something like 18). The only family to have exceeded the cap was grandfathered in, and did not have to remove any members. However, any family at the time that was at or exceeded the cap had to lose a sufficient amount of members in order to add any more.
To be expected, our decision caused a pretty big outlash against the royals. Seeing as a good number of citizens were dedicated to a family, there were a lot of people who opposed the cap. Most people got over it quite quickly after we explained the situation; however, a certain group in the DeWolf family took it personally. They had pretty big egos since they were the top family, and their actions were equally as virulent.
There was an exclusive Skype group for the DeWolf family. At the time we posted the announcement of the memberlist limit, a few members became pretty unruly and began some devious scheming. Dianne had a contact inside the Skype group unbeknownst to them, and sent us the entire conversations; subsequently, we issued punishments. Two people were issued 1 week clan mutes for plotting against the royals, flaming/disrespecting other members, and intending to not follow royal decree, and a further two members (most notably XephDaMan) were given a one week suspension for treasonous actions, on top of what was already listed.
Once these punishments were dealt out, the situation quickly simmered down. I admit that we were a bit harsh, but it was sort of needed since the DeWolves had already been causing trouble with a few others in the clan as well. It was the final straw, if you will. But, the events which transpired quickly blew over. Xeph returned to the clan, the mutes were lifted, and KOV resumed much as it had before.
Do you feel like your decision in the family dispute set a dangerous precedent for KOV? Where royals would prefer to issue harsh punishments instead of talking things out? Or do you think it was beneficial at the time?
I don't believe a new, stricter standard for punishments was set, at least not for future royals. However, it is to my personal opinion that I give out quite strict disciplinary penalties, and to a fair extent, so does Dianne.
To be exact, I'd say that the DeWolf incident wasn't an event which later influenced the severity of our punishments. Rather, it was the first case which showcased Dianne's and my approach to rule breakers, which is a harsh one.

Fair enough. You made making peace with W83 a hallmark of your time as King. Did you choose this course of action or was it thrust upon you, and why did you do it?
I chose this course of action, myself. In fact, I was the one who thrust it on Dianne, but she was all for it, as well. I remember as soon as I was announced King, I was eager to bring peace to our affairs with the Zirak Kingdom, something none of my recent predecessors had done. I figured this would be the key to leading KOV out of its drama-filled destiny, so that we could focus on things that actually mattered.
The whole journey started soon after I got king, where I would begin talking with Krisimay/Golsin about possible peace in the future. (Originally, both Dianne and I had planned to essentially "take turns," but Krisi loathed Dianne LOL.) Krisi was as douchey as ever when I first began talking with her. I had no personal beef with her, aside from one minor incident long in the past, yet she still insisted on acting as if I was a dog, which seemed to be her favorite word when referring to a Kovian. She said many berating things to me, the
nicest
of which being, "Many kings have said the same in the past, but none have acted. I doubt you're any different."
However, I did not give up hope. I withstood the foolhardy insults and comments, and was generally kind and understanding when she would borderline rage at me for no reason. Eventually, she seemed to break down (as a bully does when his victim remains unfazed), much to my surprise and excitement. She invited me to an impromptu roleplay out of the blue on day. Though I was unable to send anyone, I told her such and she was remarkably understanding, so I figured I was finally on her good side. About a week later, Kris*may told me she would invite KOV to ZK's weekly mass allied event. We went and it went over quite rockily. Few members showed, and those that did were harrassed a decent bit to my recollection. On top of that, we attended the next week's event, but essentially no one from KOV attended due to the previous ZK relationship and the most recent encounter with them.
After no-showing that second time, our possible alliance with ZK was pretty much left in the dust. Our relationship with them was definitely no longer hostile, as far as I was concerned. But, an alliance seemed highly unlikely due to the preordained dispositions of both KOV and ZK's citizens, and thus not worth the time. Golsin was also passively hostile to me for some inane reason and interrupted my summer vacation, so I finally grew sick of reaching out to ZK and called it quits to my advances.
I don't regret this, though. I definitely believe that KOV was put in a better spot for future negotiations with ZK, should there be any, and I finally answered my own question of whether or not an alliance with them would even be feasible: not in my lifetime.
NOTE: It's quite possible I have recalled some of the information in this post incorrectly, such as how many events we attended of ZK's weekly thing or something. Please let me know if they're wrong, my memory is a bit fuzzy.

I see. Some critics contend that you "wasted" your reign as King by focusing on making nice with everyone and not making any other sweeping changes or plans for growth within the Kingdom. How would you respond to that?
