Oh yeah age was for sure a key role haha. I remember coming home and immediately getting on RS to see what was going on.

The early days of N+J were pretty great. Friends chat wouldnt be released for quite some time after I began N+J and so I had every member added on my own list and would message them to attend events, gatherings, meetings, and the like. Everyone was so excited to be a part and attend events that we'd usually have quite high activity at gatherings and this really started the beginning of our inner group of members. I would say we had anywhere between 20-40 members who joined within the first few months of N+J's creation and stuck around as long as I did (some even longer). These guys were active, friendly, and would become my most senior advisers and friends as the years went on.

I actually first came into contact with Worm Man 1 when he was king of KOV. At the time, him and Mattyworrior were in a heated debate over the ownership of Varrock, as KOV had claim of all of Varrock in W83, and Mafia City had claim over much of Varrock along with the sewers and underbelly of Varrock, which KOV did not like. This led to the first of many POC-Mafia wars. N+J was about a month old at this point, and I contacted Worm Man to become allies and join in the fight against Mafia City. He agreed, and this led to relations with EOF and Dian Wei, who was leader/founder of EOF.

Oh boy well this first war was probably the biggest and most bloody battle of the few wars we were a part of. The debate between Worm Man and Matty got to the point where no arrangement could be made and war was declared between the two. At this time there was a very heated rivalry between the POCs and the Mafia families. Both sides flamed each other on their threads, in game, and if I recall even crashing events. As a part of the POC community and a new ally to KOV, we joined in the conflict with KOV and EOF.

On the day of the war, the three POCs had pulled easily over 100 people. We had met in Varrock and myself and some of the other POC officials were in charge of handing out team capes and supplies to our members. We had such a huge stockpile of food and potions in our POC bank that I handed out free things to anyone who traded me. Dian had connection issues and if I recall wasnt there at the time of the battle. I don't recall if Worm was there as I know he had connection issues as well or something else was going on, so we had to leave without them. I helped lead the massive group of fighters through the wilderness up to the rouge's castle where the battle was supposed to take place. We sat there for probably an hour waiting for MC to show up. Not sure if they were having trouble with organizing everyone or what.

In the time it took for them to arrive, a huge group of high leveled PKers came through to the east of the castle and in the confusion killed myself and a huge amount of the POC fighters. Amongst the chaos, MC hopped into the world from inside the castle to only discover the disaster in front of them. As far as I know, the PKers attacked and killed off many MC members as well. Both clans scattered and left the battlefield behind.

Myself and a few other POC officials met after the war was over and I remember there was talk of MC hiring the PKers to kill us off before they arrived. This was never proved but there were a lot of pretty outraged leaders and officials at the meeting. It was concluded that no winner could be determined, so the unrest between the Mafia families and the POCs would continue for quite some time after.

After the war was over, KOV, EOF, and N+J agreed to sign a formal alliance between our three POCs. It was deemed the Order of the Kingdoms, and was included on all three of our threads on the forums and signed by all three leaders. It was a pact to defend our interests and create strong bonds of alliance and friendship between our POCs.

We had an amazing relationship with both KOV and EOF. I saw KOV and EOF go through a few different leaders in my time of leader of N+J, but our relationship remained as solid as ever. We would have many events together, the major ones being the royal balls in which all three of our POCs and some of the other smaller POCs would gather at the Burthorpe Games room to play games, talk, and have costume contests among other things. I loved these events because the POC community was always very active in events like these. Between all our POCs these events would have close to 100 people at them in our earlier days. It was a great opportunity for our members to meet and socialize with each other. As Fremenniks, I'd always make sure to have myself and a few other members bring inventories full of beer kegs to hand out and make the party more interesting (lol).

We would meet the Mafia families two more times on the battlefield. Both were due to conflicts between KOV and MC, which had the longest standing rivalry to be certain. As faithful allies and bound by the OOTK, we and EOF stood with them every time. Our allies, Empire of Sands, accompanied us in the second war, which we easily won against the Mafia families who barely showed up.

The third battle was by far the most flamed conflict I can remember because clan chats were around at this time and we'd have mafia members in our chats spamming and there was also some flame on the forums from both sides I recall. Well we went to war one last time, and the Mafia families emerged victorious. There was quite a bit of anger on the side of the POCs because we had brought well over 100 people to the war, but due to the limited size of the clan chat we could not use our full forces. Many POC members believed we would have easily won had we been able to use our full pull. The victory had no territorial claims, but solidified the bitter rivalry between the POCs and Mafia families was here to stay for quite some time.

N+J shared many similarities with its fellow POCs. We had our territorial claims, our infrastructure was built around workers, citizens, and soldiers, as most POCs were in the old days. I like to think we went above and beyond the POC norm by incorporating our Fremennik theme into our POC. We would have our open city events, host fighting tournaments, and eventually would fight on the RSB ladders.

Mostly stuck to ourselves. Outside of our regular events with KOV, EOF, and the other POCs, we did what every clan would do. We ran events, chatted, and generally enjoyed the game. We did have some discussion of claiming our property on W83 along with our W97 homeworld due to the conflict over territory with the Mafia families. If I recall, a few people from KOV or EOF approached me about it. I don't believe if it was ever decided that we would, but no POC ever came to claim the lands we held, so we felt no need to defend our right to hold it.

Well our involvement sort of came to be with my relationship with Sulaiman400 who was leader of another Rellekka POC, who later joined with us. We joined his ladder, the RSB Variety Ladder, which had a lower league for clans with a 100 or below level requirement. Having no requirements to join besides finishing Fremennik Trials, we put our luck to the ladder. We were met with huge success, winning our first three wars and taking first place on the ladder. We fought a clan called Vengeance led by Saragirl555 to take first place on the ladder. It was a major success for us because we were relatively small on the RSB scene and here we were beating a known name and a clan with significantly higher levels than our own. Sara and I definitely did not see eye to eye to say the least... and N+J admittedly did its fair share of flaming after the war was over in the excitement. She fought to get our spot taken away, but luckily we kept it with some anti-immunity for a few weeks. After this war I made it a point to my POC that discipline and respect were just as important during battles as was winning them.

After taking first place, I installed a recruit training program into the POC to train new recruits in basic war tactics, such as piling, calling, and tanking, among other things. Many people who join POCs have relatively low background in warring, as that was/is not something POCs are majorly known for.

POCs were relatively unknown altogether on the RSB in the clan community and it was something I fought for while leader at N+J. While there were many Ranking threads like the Bulletin, Gazette, etc. there was little to no representation of POCs on these threads. POCs had just as much of a rich, possibly even richer, history and environment than regular clans did, and one of my goals as leader was to have the POC community recognized by clans, who some I think saw POCs as inferior versions. That was one of my points in rising to the top of the ladders.

We eventually rose to be first on both the RSB Variety and Battle ladder lower leagues. We pulled large numbers for our wars, ranging usually from 50-60 people. During our time in first place, we were met with our largest rivals, Immortal Retaliation led by Lazerboyz. We defended our first place on the Variety ladder against them in a huge 60v60 war, and took first place from them on the Battle ladder. In time, during our decline, IR would come back to claim these two spots from us. But until that happened, we held our two spots for around half a year, defeating several clans that came to take our spots.

Close to our decline, many clans were starting to join the ladder with 99+ combat requirements to sneak in just under the below 100+ level requirement for the ladder. This was one of my biggest complaints as it seemed unfair to other clans who wanted to fight with lower levels. When summoning was released, many clans joined in with 99+ F2P requirements, which means many of their members were above 100+ combat with summoning included, or just overall. It was at this time I decided it was no longer in our best interest to be a part of these ladders.

I think our time on the RSB did have some impact on our POC relationships. I think in my effort to bring POCs recognition to the clan community, we were also sucked into more clan-like aspects and lost some of our POC aspects. We stopped doing Open Cities, our tournaments subsided, and we continued on with events and wars like a normal clan would. I don’t know if maybe this was because towards the end of our RSB involvement we started to decline, but I think being part of the RSB had some impact. As far as I am aware, we were the only POC to participate as heavily as we did in the RSB at that time.
