It is no secret that the Fremennik have become a world-leading exporter of ores, minerals and various metals, second only to the Dwarves themselves. We have extensive mining operations all throughout Northern Gielinor, winning us much acclaim and lucrative business; however, there seems to be talk.
A rat is scuffling about, spreading rumors and provoking unwanted attention; too many people are asking too many questions. Out of the mines and into the public sphere, word echoes, gossip spreads. "What exactly is going on down in those mines - - what are they excavating - - what are they searching for?"
A mining warden was bold enough to approach me the other day, inquiring about our mining operations, demanding information, and refusing to continue working, yada yada yada. Instead of turning him away, threatening his dismissal from the mines; we walked for awhile and spoke in length. He seemed to appreciate the conversation, as we spoke as equals, rather than with a figure of authority, or perhaps it was simply because I was a woman.
Of course..there are some topics I am not quite at liberty to discuss with the common-folk, not that I know myself, but he seemed satisfied with my answers as he went back to overseeing the mines.
I've also spoken with the other wardens, but some did not react as I had desired. In spite of this, I've gone ahead and taken the opportunity to dispatch a few hearsayers to dis-spell some of the rumors.

I've been reassigned to another part of the mines today. I'm excited. I've been tasked to oversee the excavation of a "theorized room". A temple shrine, perhaps? I wonder. IS this what we've been searching for?
